Ugh, after nearly two years, I've finally made a recipe I don't like. I guess that's a pretty good record, but really, this is UGH! I love real Bailey's, but I probably have the wrong flavoring. In my defense, I got it a year ago (maybe more) after having tried a sample of some Bailey's juice from somewhere that I really liked. I got Capella's because I *think* that's what the juice manufacturer used.
Anyway, I made a small bottle to start working on with 5% CAP Irish cream and 1% TFA bittersweet chocolate. I figured tasting it would tell me where I needed to go from there, but yikes, all I can taste is bad rotgut whiskey! I added some cream base mix I made (custard and various creams) in the tank with this stuff about half and half, thus reducing the Irish cream to around 2.5%, and rotgut whiskey is still all I can taste, after suffering through at least 15 minutes of chain vaping to make sure the mix was even and the old, strong stuff had worked out of the wick.
I know the consensus here is that FA Irish cream is the best (and I believe you!), but I didn't know that back when I ordered the Cap's version. Has anyone else ever used Capella's, and have any tips on what I can do, if anything, to save this? Or is it destined for the sink drain? (Trust me, scrooge that I am, it wouldn't hurt my feelings too much to dump this awful stuff out.) Maybe I should start again, using like HALF a percent or something? With not only several cream flavors but maybe also something like caramel or marshmallow, maybe a sweetener?
Any opinions or previous experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I got into the habit of using the ultrasonic cleaner after my wonderful husband bought it for me (I didn't want him to think he'd wasted his money, because he's a big ol' scrooge of the first order), and I kinda fell out of using the hot water in a cup method. Now, I'm usually topping off an almost-empty bottle of juice, so I don't do anything with those except add the additional ingredients, shake well, and stick back in the cupboard.
