So I picked up a cana 30w a few months back and I noticed today it was firing the attie by itself. I immediately unscrewed the atomizer and took the battery out. Upon inspection I do not see any issues such as the firing button sticking or anything that might make this occur. I tried putting a different fully charged battery in the box and put on a different kayfun and it instantly started firing again.

Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this? Thinking this thing might be going in the garbage.

try cleaning the .510 connection if ya do not have vodka or everclear just use some isopropyl alcohol if that does not work man be cautious
My cana caught on fire burned the whole board vented the battery (sony VTC5) and burned the hell out of two of my fingers not to scare ya just being honest
They are held together like junk with a bunch of cheap hot glue other problems are the soldering on the Cana's is not so great and on mine I am pretty sure it was a short... but god will only know

You can try this.

Set the mod to 7.0 watts, remove the topper, press the power button.

Then remove the battery.

Press the power button a few times to remove charge from the capacitors.
Press the other buttons a lot to make sure they are not sticking

Leave battery out for a bit.

Put back in.

Put on the topper still at 7.0 watts.

Press the power button and see how it goes.

If this does not work, get some tissues and have a nice cry.

So I tried everything suggested and within a few seconds of screwing anything on it starts firing by itself. Fire button is fine, its completely extracted from the side and shows no signs of sticking. At this point even if it stopped firing by itself I would never be able to trust it and would constantly think that the damn thing is going to start firing by itself again so I would have to unscrew the tank whenever using it, simply not worth the hassle, I am tossing it in the garbage. After getting a Vapor Shark RDNA I realize just how bad quality the cana really is.

dont throw it away, maybe one day down the road youll want to look into installing an authentic chip or even a clone chip. and i agree, when i took mine apart it was very apparent how quickly these were thrown together. installing a chip yourself is nearly guaranteed to be neater and perform better than the mass produced ones and even one from hana themselves with a little research. im in the process now of doing it
