can't get into forum

I had to delete Tapatalk on my tablet to be able to post this. I would click on the forum banner to enter and it would click to anther screen then come right back. This is also happening on my phone. It is not happening on any other forum that I am a member of. I am a VIP member

Yeah it's been that way since yesterday.

Tapatalk is fine, it’s the cloud fare check on the log in interface... can’t get passed the check on the app.

something happened on VUs end to force the ddos check through cloud fare when trying to log in via the app.

just look at how little actual members are online now, compared to before whatever happened a few days ago... just the bots and miners

Maybe try a non-front page, then use the login to post option from threads in there?

One site I know you cant get into from the front door ATM, gotta use like another page for entry. Just a thought. Also, if there is a CAPTCHA being offered and it's blocked..ya wont get in.

* I don't surf using a phone, so I could be way off. ;-)

Not sure how we interact with tapatalk these days. I haven’t used it in years. Best thing I would say is uninstall and reinstall; but beyond that, I haven’t a clue.

Uninstalling and reinstalling TT won’t do a thing... whatever recent change there was to VU and or the addition of the cloud fare ddos check is what is stopping TT from completing the log in request.

normally happens once a month with VU and goes on for like a day max where TT and VU are out of sync, but this isn’t one of them.

I emailed TT admins with the error log I get each time, and their response was the cloud fare check and or captcha

I’ll add the error log... sadly it’s in screen shots... like 18 of them since you can’t copy paste the log...

I've never used TT, but I had been trying to get in to VU via VPN to several more nearby countries, multiple browsers and OS's including mobile. It's just b0rked.

IDK....Joe's other sites seem fine. If they are all hosted on the same server then either something is very wrong with cloudflare, the server, the resource usage, or this site is getting DDOS'd. Perhaps the server can't handle the load of VU?

I run a semi-dedicated server and have for like a decade, but just for personal use.
If I had this kind of issues, I'd be finding a new hosting company.

I'd be totally Ok with a data purge (Archive) if it meant VU worked as smoothly as DW... DW is a rocket.

I was getting that 504 error and a 520 "unknown" error yesterday. Today I just randomly get the 504 error when I click on things. Still running really slow for me too though.

Since the VU 2.0 there sure has been Shit Load of issues. So much downtime Joe should get a free month credit~!

The Forums were real slow for me too a few hours ago. I figured it was something odd going on and would come back later. Seems all is well again.

Some functions work OK but some lag like crazy and don't complete. Like for instance Notifications. I see a Red 1 and when I click to see it the bars on the left upper corner just roll and roll and roll until eventually it opens. To see it was just a like. Forget about emails they are non existent. The normal fix for that is have someone TAG Me~! LMFAO

it's good now but may be down a bit in the next day or so.
Major upgrades are happening behind the scenes.
Obviously you all have seen the cloudflare host error message.
No one wants a poor forum experience so this change needs to happen sooner rather than later.
After this everything should be back to normal. I hope.

Too Bad Joe can't post here, the Info I pasted from Facebook. It might stop a bunch of these posts in the REPORT BUGS section. When you have to go to Fuckbook to find out what is going on it is pretty sad.

Just my freaking opinion mind you, after dealing with 3 days of Snow from a Nor-Easter.
