I loved that show as well as many others from that era.
No huge action scenes, no nudity (remember they all slept in separate beds or if in the same bed, the man would have one foot on the floor), no special effects (other than Bewitched) no foul language.
Just really good writing and acting.
Wish Hollywierd would bring some of that era back.

Green Acres?Those I could have done without
I've been watching Green Acres and a bunch of older stuff, like My Favorite Martian. It's amazing how clever that show was for it's time.

Odd you mentioned Mae West.
I actually have an old autograph book from back in the day with her autograph which includes her famous "Come Up and See Me" line.
Next page contains Zazu Pitt's autograph as they often traveled and performed together.

Back in the day, my Great Aunt, Nell worked the front desk at the Deshler Hotel in Columbus, Ohio and anyone who was anyone important (and had the money as this was during the depression) would stay there.
Autograph collectings was a big fad then and her job put her in a prime position to meet all these important and famous people.

The "Weenie" is my mentally challenged cat.
While she is extremely lovable and loving, the poor thing has the IQ of a brick.
She gets excited and runs into stuff constantly. She will go to jump up on the back of a chair and overshoot.
She still has not quite gotten the concept that if she were to scratch at a door, possibly a human would open it for her.
Instead, she will just sit and stare at it until someone either opens it or she get's distracted by something else.
Also walks around and "Talks" to herself.
Damn, we LOVE that cat!
But that Caruso comment is just insulting
