We were "camping" (small trailer actually) near Pismo Beach, CA. In the evening, these guys were hangin out around this stone circle thing (like a garden?) They looked very casual... laid back and had guitars (I also played guitar but didn't bring mine) As they played, I kept thinking "these guys are pros". I didn't know the song (it was popular before I was old enough to recognize it) the song was "up on cripple creek" Eventually, I heard the song on a "oldies" rock station... OMG I instantly knew that was them I had met. I am quite sure. I can still remember it like it was yesterday. So, I am fairly sure I met Robbie Robertson
I am especially full of sorrow for the loss (but to be honest I'll be surprised if I even live to be close to 80)
