Marvel's original Civil War crossover was a great concept, but in some ways it seems as though Marvel learned the wrong lesson from its success. Too many major stories since - Avengers vs. X-Men, Avengers: Time Runs Out, Civil War II - have revolved around one group of heroes fighting another rather than actually battling evil and making the world a better place. The good news is that some of Marvel's younger heroes feel the exact same way that readers do. They're fed up with heroes who fail to behave like heroes, and they're determined to set a better example. That's the basic premise behind Champions, a new series that serves as the perfect antidote to Civil War II fatigue.
