Here we go with another ipv3 over sigelei thing. I've read and seen so many things about both and everything I've seen about both people only seem to complain about small things such as the touch sensor not working and sigelei having magnetic battery door. Those things have not affected my choice, they're small things and I can work right around them. I'm looking more towards the ipv3 due to I've handled one of my buddies and love the heavy and safe feeling and I like the buttons better. However I've heard time over time people saying get the sigelei because the readouts are a bit more spot on. I'm just afraid if I get a sigelei and drop it and it lands on that big ass button that it will break something. There's not much you can tell me I don't know about these two I just need a better opinion from people who have owned one or the other for a good amount of time on how they're still performing for them. I've been doing research on them for about 4 months now and im at the point where I'm going to order one or the other in the next week or two when I have the change to put up. At the moment it seems they're both just as good as another and it seems like people battle over one or the other like its Xbox one vs ps4 haha

The sig has no stupid non working touch sensor, has no stupid charge port you can't use, does have a magnetic door and does come with a silicone sleeve. They both use a yihi chip. I see no reason to choose the ipv3 over the sig 150.

That's the thing that port and the touch sensor doesn't bother me at all. The ipv3 just feels more sturdy and I can put my own magnets on the back plate no problem. I'm asking who has had these devices for over a month or two and how are they still performing. Also I don't care about the sleeve haha I don't put cases on my phones I won't put them on my devices.

With the ipv3 update the readouts are much more accurate... Puts you up to a ridiculous 165 watts (insane- but kinda cool lol) but also your ohms will read in double digits and allows you to drop to an incredible .08 ohms... I liked the sigeli- but the ipv3 just felt more solid to me and has stood the test of my torture for about 2 months... The finish is still good (I have the silver) and it has handled every atty I've thrown on it... As for the buttons- some peeps love them, some people hate them. I think they are fine and will last longer and not loosen like a big one will....

I know plenty of people with the sigeli and they love it. The update the shop I bought it at really sealed the deal for me though and I haven't looked back....

I like them both. I do just love everything about the ipv3 except I can get a sigelei 150 for 104$ with 3 day ups shipping which is a steal considering I'm only 5 hours away from the place it will ship from. I just hate that fat button haha. The ipv3 has solid buttons and don't see why people dislike them so much. It's just I can't find a better deal than 104$ with 3 day shipping on a ipv3 and I'm getting impatient since I've been eye balling these two for about six months now.

I bought the Sig because it was cheaper. I've used it for 3+ months, have dropped it on numerous occasions and it's still working fine, aside from a few dents. My model is the 1st-gen 100, which came with screws that I've never taken out of the box because the magnets have worked fine through well over 100 battery changes. I'm not even getting the problems with the adjustable firing pin other people complain about, which surprises me because my wife has cranked tanks down on hers (also a 1st-gen 100) so hard I've had to remove them with pliers.

If you are leaning towards the ipv3.... Get it soon- it's discontinued... My friend that owns a B&M and confirmed this for me. It will be soon be available to only what merchants have on hand... Or on the way...

I'm starting to see that every site I saw that had them a month ago are all out of stock and for some reason eBay sellers are selling them for 200 and over. Im just going to get the sigelei 150 for the 104$ and save up over a little bit then pry one off somebody in my house when they get tired of it if that's possible

Don't fret about choosing the Sig over the IPV3...I picked up a red one about a month ago and it's awesome.

Thanks for all of the replies. I changed my mind for some reason and decided to buy a few things off fasttech(I can wait). Got a copper Pegasus clone, memphisto v2 clone and another dark horse clone. I already own a cigreen box mod that works perfect so I decided to get another mech mod.

There's the minor issue of being able to upgrade the IPV3 to 165w. Whoopty freakin doo. Otherwise, I think the Segelei is a better mod. And I had a Cloupor T8, as well as a Jellybitch. Yeah, the jellyfish sucks hard rocks...
Segelei.

My brother has the SIG and says the firing button rattles..
I knocked my IPV3 off table accidentally from about 4 feet up...it got scratched a little but fired right up... I like that the back uses screws..magnets would've let the batteries go flying out at that hard impact with the floor...very happy with my proven tough IPV3...

Pretty sure you can turn the button bezel on the Sig and get rid of the rattle. Also, dropping a mod and having the door and batteries go flying would help dissipate energy and keep the mod from absorbing it all. You have not convinced me sir. I still don't like the ipv3. :p

my ipv3 looks like its been through a war.has been dropped multiple times from above 10' from cars on lifts. It has come flying out from running. Its dented and scratched all over. Its hasnt once let me down. I converted it to a magnetic door,it's not hard. As for a charging port all mine has is a port for updates ;)
Ive never once thought "man wish I could plug this in to the wall". whats the problem with the normal charger? most everyone has them anyway.

Both excellent points. But as of yet, I have not been able to cease the switch rattle on mine. I'll probably get bored and gut it soon to fix that. The bezel seems to be as tight as it cares to go.

And if that doesn't work, I might just put a new switch in it. That rattle really does mess with my OCD sometimes. Especially since it is, overall, such a solid mod.

The only problems I remember hearing about with the Sig 150 had to do with the button. Tightening the bezel and inserting something behind the circuit board where the fire switch is to support it better (the fire button directly pushes the switch on the circuit board, no wires) are the two fixes I've found for button issues. Since it's not a typical style switch, finding a replacement might be difficult. Maybe someone knows of a source. Let us know what you figure out with yours and good luck.

Well, you actually just completely changed the direction I was thinking the repair needed to go. I'll pull it apart and try your suggestions this weekend. After the Cloud Comp Saturday night. Don't want to be down a mod if I goof up.

I agree, take that thing apart and see what's going on. I've read that any button crunchiness or sticking is also fixed when the board support is shored up.

I got a Sig 150 three weeks ago and I use it for dripping every night. I usually burn through a set of "married" VTC-4s in the process. (I chain vape).
The magnetic door snaps tightly in place and no button rattles from day one. She just keeps on kicking ass.
As for the IPV-3? I own an IPV mini 30 watt and swear by it for my Sub Tank Minis.
So for me I would give a vote to both companies equally. JMO
