Can you be a little more specific?

More specific such as:
Desired wattage?
What atomizer?
Single or dual coil? (Or quad etc?)

I do dual coils, 60watts. RDA or RTA. I find it's too soft for this 36k/28ss.

Not sure what "too soft" means. And i assume that you have a 28g ss core with 36gkanthal wrap, which i believe should be notated as 28g ss/36g kanthal.

3 mm 8.5 wraps should get you pretty good at 60w. Or parallel claptons 8.5 wraps. Try em both. See what you like. The parallel might be the way to go. IDK what you like in a vape and atties vary in the builds they like. Would try the straight clapton, if you don't like it, parallel em. Your build, only you decide what you like. But one of these 2 should work for you.

Edit: disregard previous edit.

Like @BKTOAD said, you're pretty much limited to single or parallel coil build types. Your desired wattage will determine the build specs. Higher wattage equal warmer vapes.

And rather than parallel single core claptons, might as well make fused claptons. Like me some 28g fused claptons. (ss or kanthal cores).

Soft wire is way easier to work with (imho).

So what exactly do you have for wire? Then I can (hopefully) be a little more helpful. I just assumed it was premade Clapton wire.

Yeah, then your options are pretty much limited to single and parallel builds. You have the DNA200 device, so you can safely subohm SS316L down to 0.05Ω.

I just messed around with the specs, and there's really not much you can't do with the resistance values of the wire you have. Play around with it. Try a 3.0mm ID, 5/6 wrap, dual parallel build and see how you like it.

You could also try a twisted Clapton coil. Just twist 2 (or 3) strands together and see how that works for you.

Tks for the input you guys. I did 8 wraps come out to .63homn. I had to dry fire to make the coils neats lol. I guess more practice trial and error.
