Clean and fresh....still burns

I have a Provari battery, Aspire Nautilus tank (just cleaned it) and a new coil. After 1 day the burn is back. Why is that and what should I do?

What kind of E-Liquid are you using and what is the PG/VG ratio?

Without knowing more, it sound like your wick is not getting enough liquid to the coil.

also I keep getting conflicting info in where the Ohms should be set. Don't know how much that has to do with it.......

The only thing I can think for you to try is to take a small needle and stick it in where the wick holes are and move it around a little in hopes more liquid can make it into the coil.

Don't you mean what "Wattage" it should be set at?

Me, I would set the device to something like 10 watts and then increase until you find the best flavor and heat level for you.

Sounds like you have wattage to high. Had two Nautilus tanks and other than having wattage set to high never had burning taste.

Well the ohms are at 1.7 and the voltage is at 4.8. May be a bit high. Will try lowering it. Provari says factory default is 4.0

Glad to hear you got it working right. Anytime you install a new coil you should start low on power and work your way up. It helps to condition the coil and find the right taste and heat level for that coil, like UncleRJ was saying.

You can run a BVC coil at 4.8 volts...it's about 12ish watts with a 1.7-1.8 ohm head...they can handle up to about 15-17 watts most of the time before they instantly start burning up. but if you're happy at 4 volts than there is no reason to run it higher...vaping is a very personal thing and it's all about what works for you :)

Like @UncleRJ said, poke holes in the the juice intakes on the coil head to help them feed faster...also...when you go install a new head you have to let the juice from the tank soak into it a bit before you vape it....and waiting sucks I know. To help cut down on the wait time for use you can drip some juice around the inside of the top edges to pre soak the filler material (never down the hole in the center though, that's for air and it will flood and gurgle if you put juice in it) and put a drop on each juice intake on the outside of the coil assembly...that will cut the wait time down from 15 minutes to like 1-2 and help make sure the coil lives a long and healthy life.

I am glad you were able to get help and fix your problem and wish you the best and happiest of vaping...cheers! :)
