Hello my fellow vaping comrades, I have a question in which I was wondering how do you guys clean out your atomizers when switching flavors. I use to have a vape in which I would rinse the tank but not sure how to clean the coil. So I would have mint residue in the coil and pineapple in the tank, yeah not a pleasant flavor. I wanted to know how you clean your tanks and coils, currently using a High Voltage sub-ohm tank.

I'm extremely ocd when it comes to changing out liquids. I always clean out the tank and a fresh wick each time unless I'm refilling with the same juice.

Easiest option is to just remove the coil, rinse out the tank under the tap with hot water, dry with some paper towel. You can also give the coil a quick rinse and then blow out all the water from the sides of the coil and then prime it with a few drops of liquid and the fire it to get rid on any water in the coil.

I've been known to ask the waiter for a cup of hot water in a restaurant to strip my tank, rinse it all out and then rebuild .

I soak mine overnight in Vodka, then soak and rinse in hot water, then allow to dry for a day. But if I want to get serious about cleaning my used coils, I use half white vinegar and half boiling water. Coffee maker deposits are cleaned by running hot vinegar through the machine, and once I cleaned my radiator with a quart of white vinegar (it ate out all the silver seal, but it did clean the radiator), so I figure it must be eating the crud off the wire coil (not sure what it's doing to the cotton wicking...one good reason to use an RTA because you can change out your wicking and also clean your wire coil by heating it then running it under a stream of cold water...beats buying new coils for the subtank)...

I rinse my sub tanks and dripper caps with hot soapy water and my drip tips get scrubbed up with a Q-Tip
My dripper bases get a rinse just before I begin a new build.

If you're not willing/able to re-wick between flavor changes, your best bet may be to transition from one flavor to a complimentary one...pineapple to mango could work, pineapple to menthol not so much. I save the drastic flavor changes for when I'm ready to install a new coil...

I like the complimentary flavors thing. I've been vaping a lot of Mad Murdock juices lately and most of them compliment each other quite well so I just keep adding another one at about a quarter tank.

That's another reason - I don't vape my tanks completely dry and don't want to waste the juice left in the tank, so my flavor changes are gradual over a couple tanks - first is about 3/4 of the new juice transitioning into all new by the second tankful...

I second that. When I run out of a flavor, I shift to a complimentary flavor. If I want to vape many flavors, I will need many RDAs, RTAs, RBAs, Subtanks, Clearomizers, etc. I have four RTAs, each filled with a different flavor at present, plus an RTA, a Subtank, and two clearomizers = 8 ready to vape.
