hello all and thanks for the help in advance. im lookin ti start building my own/ buying premade coils for the cleito120 rta. im lookin to vape around 70-100 watts. i like my clouds but am looking for flavor mostly. any suggestions of prebuilt coils that will get mein that range that are high quality? or do i need to just buy a spool of wire? i have the vape tool app and been trying to read into all this as much as possible-but their is just so many different builds/materials and other info its hard to keep up. and this may sound like a ridiculous question but every video i have seen regarding builds has guys&gals w mech mods- will i find any issue with mt cleito 120 w rta on a regulated? i have a gpriv2 and xpriv. thanks again for the help and advice!

Have had pretty good luck with the Clieto RTA. I use single 22 g Kanthal on it almost exclusively since it what I have the most of for wire. Its easy to build, wicking is par for the course and it works as advertised. I like it much better than the disposable coils. I use mine mostly in the 20-45 Watt range though. Never had a need to go any higher for chasing flavor with it.

thanks for your input i grestly appreciate it! i have a prince too but i had grabbed the cleito 120 specifically for the rta but chicked out! lol i been vaping at 100-110 watts now for the last 6 months so im a little concerned i wont get enough vapor production that low. i dont know as much as id like to know about rebuildables and ive heard stuff like 50-70 watts will be fine too. if im looking for a little more wattage then what you use..do i go with higher guage wires? i was looking at maybe getting that skynet thing just for all the different types there are so i can find what i like and to make life a little easier since i dont know all the different tech iques...it is relieving to hear you say just single wire has been great for you. i dk if its quality/ worth it to buy prebuilts...was thinking of buying some from one of the guys well known on here..forget his name off the top of my head but his coils look amazing but i figured maybe i start with prebuilts to find what i like then build my own as time goes on. just wasnt sure what the coils are rated at wattage wise. it only ever tells you ohms. is there a calculation for regulated mods so i can fig out the wattage. or is it just whatever u like until it u get dry hits and burnt taste? sorry for all the questions but figured id get em all out there so its easier for whoever replies

I buy rebuildable to avoid paying through the nose for disposable stuff. I woudlnt focus too much on power output of any given device and focus on what it does for you instead. You can build whatever you want and get exactly what you are looking for. Most of the disposable cores are either a single wire build or multiple single wire builds.

You should learn and understand ohms law and watts law. Then coil size, diameter, material used will make a lot more sense. This is the foundation of knowledge needed to get started rebuilding (IMO). You will have many more aha moments in knowing how all of these elements combine to make clouds/delicious flavors.

lol yeaah i guess im trying to have all the aha moments before i get to use anything. just dotn want to pay aspire for mire coils. and especially dont want to pay smok for prince coils even tho ive gotten lucky w them so far and they been pretty good to me. i just read everuwhere how much better it is w rebuildables..and cheaper. that skynet thing is only like 19 bucks and it comes with a ton of coils in all different styles. claptons..fused claptons..all that stuff. and i just have 0 direction with what materials i should start with other than kanthal really cus its only thing ive tried. i do understand ohms law..i gues smy problem is not knowing the voltage coming from a reg mod since its displaying chip v not whats going to the tank. and i also have the vape tool app to calculate everything and help give me an idea. and thanks for mentioning watts law...i forget all about that. i guess down the road once i figure out my values i can then plug in ro figure out a recommended range and start a bit below and work my way up to waht i like? and really appreciate the help..vaping has literally saved me from a host of health issues i couldnt get rid of when i smoked cigs. months later they are all gone and ive been on the same meds for years w no change. now i dont take meds at all and im still good!

When dealing with a regulated mod use watts law. @Mattp169 has a pretty good explanation of it in regards to what you are doing. Look through his posts as he has explained it a couple of times recently and does a really good job of breaking it down.

When I am using regulated mods as long as it turns on and runs what I put on it, thats what happens. Verify its safe on a meter, no shorts and run with it. If the mod starts complaining I address it and if building low and running hot, keep plenty of extra batteries around to feed the thing.

Rebuildable being cheaper is debatable in my opinion. While it can be if you can keep from throwing all your money at new toys, that has not been my experience (because I like new toys). Welcome to VU and congrats on quitting smoking. Part of the fun with vaping is all of the options available. You can dial it in to exactly what you want even if that means a bunch of different vaping styles.

thanks so much! i just did some more reading on ohms law..and found a good calculator too for everything to give me an idea of my voltage and amps its a great community to be in cus we all share the same goal! excited to get my rts ina few days..and within 24-48 hours ill be ordering kit/gear and materials. i have a friend whos an eletrical engineer too just wish he didnt use a damn logic and was building stuff too so he could mske it even easier! i think ill start with kanthal...then as i go ill order other materials. holding back on buying an actual rba or rdta or whatever all the diff combos are that i hop arent drippers. i just decided to stick with the rta for now cus i dk much about all those yet and which one id want to go with. plus i kinda like how my cleito n prince look lol

Whatever works man. I use a lot of kanthal and am of the opinion its a good learning wire. More forgiving than SS and nickel (IMHO). I personally cant really tell a difference in taste like some people, but I am mostly an unrefined caveman.

The Clieto doesnt suck, the RBA for it doesnt suck either. You should enjoy them and they make good starting points on your new journey to quit smoking. They also make a super easy to work with build deck for that prince as well. It only cost about what a pack of coils cost.

When I use my cleito rba I run just a simple round wire spaced kanthal coil. Around .3 to .4 ohms total for a dual coil setup. Because of the massive amount of airflow the 120 has I run it at 40 to 45 watts and close the airflow about a quarter of the way. I get good clouds and good flavor from it. Coil placement is also something that you need to experiment with. Some tanks are better with the coils closer to the air flow holes some are better a little farther away. The main thing is to just experiment with all the different factors and find what you like best. Vaping preference is a very subjective thing.

Wire is cheap. Grab a roll of 20, 22, 24 and get after it. If you put the time and effort towards experimenting with your kit, you will find you get a great deal more satisfaction from it.
