CLONE RDA's & Machine oil

Has any one else had this issue ? Lately every clone RDA I have been getting has a nasty smell/taste even if I wash the hell out of them. I have been socking them in hot water and dish soap. Then I scrub the shit out of them with a toothbrush and soap. And if it still taste bad I soak them in grain alcohol. And that does not always work. Does any one know why all the rda's are like this? IM not sure if its machine oil or the insulators.. But they all have this issue lately. A year ago they were not like this. Is it a new type of oil they are using? In the past all I had to do was soak them in alcohol for a few minutes and rinse and they would be fine.. Any info on how to get rid of this other than not buying clones please help/// .

I use an ultrasonic cleaner with a couple drops of dishsoap and it works fine. If that is not available to you then I would suggest that you completely disassemble the unit put it in a pot of water with dishsoap and perhaps a few drops of bleach and simmer it o the stove for awhile. Rinsce well and dry. That should remove the most stubborn of oils and tastes.Good luck

+1 for the ultrasonic cleaner. It really works well removing manufacturing gunk and oils from attys.

Yeah i just ordered one, But have you guys noticed that lately the rda's are much worse with that issue. What is odd is that no machine oils is visible. And they look clean and feel clean. Thats why Im wondering if its something in the insulators . I just took one apart and cleaned it for the 5th time now. It worked fine but after about 10 minutes of vaping time then it it came back. It taste like burnt rubber. I dont go crazy low ohms and I dont burn the cotton. For a while I thought it was cheap O-rings. But thats not it.. It goes away when I clean them but on some of them it comes back. LIke I said this is new, Its not on the old clones. Its been with in the last 3-5 months on all the clones coming out of china.

Could be crap under the o-rings or in the crevices, or in the posts themselves. I've had some clones come clean as a whistle, and then I've had some of them come with enough machine oil to actually discolor the box with oil stains.

Maybe something like lemon juice could cut the oil better and maybe penetrate the non metal parts to get that crap out of there. If they're not gonna clean them properly, I'd prefer they leave them un assembled and put the non metal parts in a separate bag so they don't get contaminated. I'll clean it and put the damn thing together if they don't want to do it right.

That may be what it is, It may be getting caught between the insulator and when we vape the heat must cause the oil to seep out

I have a nice jewelry cleaner at home so my friends usually bring their new atomizers, both clone and authentic to run through it. I noticed that majority of the stubborn oils seem to be deep inside the airflow channels (particularly in the KF4 & squape clones) For RDA's, I noticed the post screws and the posts themselves are where much of the oils seem to linger.
