What do you guys think is a good gauge of wire and build for cloud chasing. And on the topic of cloud chasing does your juice matter that much. I have been using mister e liquid brand 33% vg is it fine?

if you're into big clouds, the higher the VG % the better, at least in my opinion. As for wire gauge I usually use 24g when I'm looking to blow clouds. Do some experimenting with different gauge wire and PG/VG percentages until you find that sweet spot! good luck, and have fun with it!

Jesse's right, high VG is the way to go if you're cloud chasing. As far as wire gauge or build it's all about trial, error and most of all personal preference. Dual parallel 24g used to be my go to for clouds, built my first triple twisted 24g sleeper yesterday and its putting out clouds as well as great flavor. Play around with it and you'll find what works best for YOU, stay safe.

Thanks. I had a problem and have no clue what I did. I put 2 could on my dark horse and it would not fire. I checked for a short and couldn't find one

It was on a panzer clone brand new fully charged battery and .5 ohm

Never used a panzer, is the 510 spring loaded or does it need to be manually adjusted? If it's manual check to make sure it's making contact with your atty. Will it fire other things?

Did you check the 510 in the panzer? Just did a quick search and it seems some clones have an issue with the 510. Found this:

Hopefully that helps, just don't blame me if it goes wrong lol.

I've used some 18g wire before, but unless you have a bigger atomizer it's gonna be hard to fit the coil. The most clouds I've ever gotten came from a dual parrallel with one strand 22g and the other 26g 4 wraps. You want to wrap the two different wires in the same coil. I don't know why, but it kicks pretty hard. Also 33% vg is shit for cloud chasing. Try to get some 80 vg or something in that range.

Once you get comfortable wrapping coils I like parallels for clouds. They kick some good flavor too. Dual parallel 26ga 1/8" 6 wrap is my go to. You have to have name brand 20+A batteries to run that build though! He2, he4, 25r, vtc4 etc. It clocks in at around 0.19 ohms.

Just did some triple parallel 28ga 5 wrap 1/8". Holee crap it's good. My first triple parallels and I'm liking them a lot. They are 0.18 ohms.

Did I mention you HAVE to have NAME BRAND 20A or better batteries? Please be safe!

75VG or higher for clouds. VG is what "makes" the cloud.

Let us know what you come up with!

The only one of those batteries generally considered safe under .25 ohms on a single cell is the vtc4.

I'm with you on the VG content though. Trying to chase using 33% VG isn't going to get you far.

I've dripped straight VG for a few days while I had a stomach bug. CLOUDS, bro! Lol

I stand corrected. A fully charged 18650 @ 20A is 0.21ohms. Sorry for posting unsafe info.

To the OP, don't wrap parallels of wire larger than 28ga if you decide to mess with them.

You can go to .22 and stay within a 20a draw. .15 for 30a.

And the margin for error on most meters issss? Enough to put a build that reads .22 well below the safe threshold.

Just sayin'. ;)

The pulse will cover the slack, being 35a in most and 60a in sonys.
