Cola concentrates / recipes

Hi all,

I've been mixing for around 2 months now so not that long and I want to find a decent cola concentrate. The first one I tried was Capella Cherry cola which was amazing and then it changed to the RF version which seemed muted. The others I've tried are Capella cola, TFA cola and TFA cola syrup. These all seem to be more traditional cola style and all I can taste is a kind of ginger and lemon flavour. The TFA cola I found unvapable whereas the syrup was better but still had that spice mix. What I'm looking for is the sweet artificial cola style without going to fr and it being a cola gummy flavour. Hope that all makes sense.

Thanks

FA Cola is good, but I don't find it to be sweet, necessarily. Could always add sweetener if you needed to. Though I've never tried them, I've read that Hangsen makes good cola flavors. Red is like Coke, Blue is like Pepsi.

@Scope666 probably makes the best cola flavors out there right now. You might try to weedle his recipes out of his brain, but they're really bread and butter, so if it were me, I wouldn't share. I have a feeling, from the taste, that he mixes two or more cola flavorings to get his results. I think he does this on the Cherry in Poppin' Cherry too. He makes a great Lime Cola for me (first sold pre 8/8). I'll need to get around to attempting to DIY it before the bottom falls out in two years if the source dries up. :D

Hi all,

I like the FA Cola (@4%) and INW Cola (@2.5%) I find the FA tastes more like Pepsi and the INW Coke. Over time, the FA flavor fades faster than the INW.

To both I add .7% TPA Koolada and 1% TPA Champagne. (I like my colas a bit cool and fizzy)

Sometimes I also add FA Rum and Brandy and a tiny touch of INW Lime. :)

Thanks everyone. I'll get the FA and INW to have a try as stand alones ( I also as you said RonJS usually add champagne and koolada) and failing that I'll start on the more complex recipes. Guess I was being a bit half-assed and only really looked at very basic recipes.
