Just curious to hear if many of you that own copper clone mods from FT or other retailers have received mods that aren't slathered in that clearcoat shit.
I don't get it. All of my copper clone mechs ordered recently (Chi You, Lunar, Mankos, Nemesis, etc.) have such a heavy clearcoat that removing it without a sanding is basically impossible. Boiling with baking soda does almost nothing as do most chemicals like goo gone.
I don't really mind the new copper look and not cleaning with stinky Nevr Dull is a bonus, but I really hate clearcoat on the INSIDE of my tubes.
Any tried and true ways to clean this shit off would be appreciated as well.
