So my "Kanger" mini protank 3 from eBay (china) just arrived. Before even entering the security code I knew it was fake! The airholes do not line up with the logo (somebody said they should), the drip tip is uneven, the "dual coil" heads turned out to just be one coil between two wicks, the threads are difficult to attach to my batteries, and the tank does not feel like glass. After seeing all of that, I checked the security code online and it turns out it is a counterfeit!

The ebay description did not say clone or anything, so I filed a complaint asking for a full refund. Hopefully that happens.

Despite the very disappointing pt3 I have now, I like it ten times better than my CE5 which was my only clearo before this. It has great vapor production (although not much more than my CE5 rebuilt with very low resistance) and I can actually taste some new aspects of flavor in my juices.

Anyways, if I am granted the refund (8.99$ free shipping) should I still be upset at all? I mean this is an upgrade from my CE5, and I only vape to quit smoking. It's not like I'm that finicky with quality the of vaping, as long as I get my nicotine and my juice that doesn't taste burnt all the time.

Just don't buy your vaping gear on eBay. Stick to a reliable, proven supplier.

There are enough Chinese suppliers that sell authentics as authentics and clones as clones, no reason to buy clones as authentics from an unknown supplier at eBay.

There are no stupid batteries, just stupid people.

There is a lot of good reputable suppliers out there with good prices and great service. Just look for some threads of recommended vendors.

Had something similar happen with a Vision Spinner II. Seller had pics of genuine spinners and when asked they assured me it was authentic. Soon as I pulled it out of the box I knew it was a clone and immediately asked for a refund. Seller told me I should have known it was a clone based on the price ($10). Replied that I was going to dispute as I had the message telling me it was real. In the end I didn't dispute it because it was a good clone and for $10 I saw value in it. Turned out to be a great clone.
