I already researched all the laws here and I know the child support and alimony would leave him without a dime, but he doesn’t know that. And he threatened to kick me out on the street but he can’t legally do that either.

Good morning! Sorry I didn't make it in yesterday... I had no internet 
We're in the process of upgrading our internet along with the Dish. Well, lovely Centurylink upgraded the service before the new modem got here.
New modem finally got here late in the day yesterday, I spent most of the evening switching wires, re-wiring, and getting the router all set up. Got it all up and working now, but there is still something wrong. The service coming into the house is supposed to be up to 40Mbs Down and 2 Up.... I'm only getting 24/1.01. So a tech is coming today to work on everything outside. Fingers crossed they get it all working properly today.
On the Dish side... it has a few quirks. Like my Netflix on the Joey keeps freezing up and I have to reboot the box to fix it. When I talked to Dish they said it's a known issue that they have a ticket already open for.

I hope everything gets figured out for you! All those issues are a pain in the ass! I had Verizon come to my house to set up internet and cable. Cable worked. Went to use the internet and nothing... called the tech and they couldn’t come back until 3 weeks later. Well I’m a tech nerd so I messed around with the wires and program myself and got it working on my own. Then, I called the tech to not bother coming and they still billed us for the day he was supposed to come even though I called 2 weeks before his estimated arrival.Good morning! With Verizon when they hooked up the FIOS at first it was AMAZINGLY Fast then dropped to less than the DSL Speeds. I had to fight with them for 3 weeks until I had it ESCALATED to a 3rd Tier Network Engineer. 3 times they changed the ONT outside. After 15 minutes of testing with him he tells me it is the GPon card in the Central Office and I started freaking again because supposedly it was changed overnight (2 X's) because they can't disrupt the Service during the day. He says no they are doing it while we are on the phone. Back up to warp speeds again and had my neighbors asking me what the problem was because of all the Vz Trucks and they noticed their Internet is much faster~! I had to throw one tech off the property because he could not even run a speed test on his Laptop~!
Yeah I got off my contract with Verizon and refuse to use any of their services! They hire in knowledgeable techs
With No Contract Vz raises the price of your service. I noticed mine went up when I did not renew. Signed up for twice the speed at 25% less cost. Bloody Bastards...................

Had Centurylink here today... he had to install a splitter in the house and "purged" my line (whatever that is)... but he finally got my upload above 2... yay!!!!!

It’s ok! I didn’t sleep all night and at 4am I decided I’d just drink my coffee (I make it homemade) and I saw someone drank my whole pitcher worth so I just brewed more. Waited til it was done, stuck it in the fridge, went back to bed. Got up again at 530 and it was ready. So no biggie. Just annoys me when I go for it and it’s gone and no one makes it when they finish it
