couple newbie questions

First off, tutorials? Can anyone point me to a couple good ones, in particular videos?

Second, software or apps. I'd like something where I can punch in how much I want to make of a certain ratio and it will spit out what amount of what to add.

Finally, Nic. I am reading everyone buys 100mg bottles, I screwed up and ordered 48mg bottle. Is this going to somehow make my life miserable? It's already shipped.

Thanks gang!

You can download a good e-juice calculator here: http://ejuice.breaktru.com/
Using 48 mg/ml nic is just as easy as 100mg/ml you just have to use more to hit your target nic strength. The calculator I mentioned will handle all that for you, just fill in all the fields and it will do the rest.

Perfect. It was a starter package anyways, so by going with the 48mg, I got a bigger bottle than I would have with the 100mg

another good calc here: http://diyjuicecalculator.com/

Do check out some 'how to store NIC' threads. Most of us store NIC in the freezer (or fridge) - also depending on quantity of NIC it can be good to re 'portion' out into smaller glass bottles (30, 50, 60, 100, 120 ml etc). Portioning will prevent or limit oxidization as you go through it.

Tutorials
I learned a lot from watching New Amsterdam Vape videos on YouTube. He has a channel with good DIY videos

Calculator

http://e-liquid-recipes.com/

This site has another great function. You can make a list of what flavorings you have and it will give you recipes using only those flavors.

Nic 48mg

I use that too. No problems with that at all.

The main reason for 100mg/ml nic is ease of calculation. Say I wanna make 130 ml of juice at 3mg/ml. You can in your head quickly know that you need 3.9ml of 100mg/ml nic to make it the strength you want. It just makes life easier and don't need calculators or a piece of paper to do math on or an internet connection with an app.

Tutorials... meh any cooking tutorial will teach you to follow a recipe.

I use 36mg 50/50 nic base.. because it satisfies my OCD need to use my VG PG and Nic at same rate. Not the most cost effective.. but it works for me.

I think many people use 100mg NIC because you can make the most with it. I also like it because if I need to add it to an existing mixture, I can usually get away with adding it without weakening the existing flavor too much. (if that makes sense)
There are many tutorials online and there are even live shows on YouTube where you can ask questions live in chat...
