Crappy Custom Liquid

Hey. I brought a custom made liquid from my local shop, they aren't the most helpful in there sometimes hence the reason why I don't want to take it back there lol.

I was meant to have a 12% Cream Soda 65%vg with a bit extra flavour.
The problem is that it tastes slightly of lemon and nothing else. I've got a feeling that he's messed something up but like I said I can't take it back.

My question is, (very silly question) I have some vanilla essence in my cupboard (I use it for baking) is that suitable to put in the mix? I'm guessing it's not but I don't want to be waiting ages for a liquid to come through the post.

I know it's a stupid question but money is pretty tight (I'm not saving anything from when I was smoking apart from health aspects) and I can't afford to keep buying liquids.

Thanks for any help in advance :)

No, don't use that in your juice.

If this was fresh made, try sitting it in a cup of hot tap water for a little while. It could help with melding the flavors better. Speeds up the steep process a bit.

Last time I went looking for vanilla extract for baking I found that the stores where I am carry instead a clear, pg-based imitation vanilla flavoring (probably vanillin--definitely not vanilla extract and does not contain alcohol) which might be available at your grocery store and seems like it would be suitable for vaping. Better, I have heard you can get Lorran's flavors at hobby shops. Loads of people vape those & you can easily find info on percentages online.

Cheers for the help, every other liquid I've had has been perfect from the start. This one just tastes awful.

This is the vanilla bean extract I've got it's got the pg and vg in so I figure it should be ok, but I could do with someone who actually knows and has done this before to let me know what's what lol

I would try Huckleberried's suggestion first and then test the e-liquid again. That vanilla might work, but start with a couple of drops. Then a drop at a time. If you use too much of the vanilla at once there is no going back other then adding lots more PG/VG and starting over.

Thanks, is it technically safe to inhale it? I know it's pretty much the same as the ones online but it does worry me lol

Seeing that you bake, you could be better off in the long run to make your own e-liquid.

That's like asking is vaping technically safe? That is for you to decide. I don't see anything on the label that is different from some of the flavors I have used. The flavor is probably weaker then the vanilla I use, but it is still better to do a tiny amount at a time, if you try it.

I have been thinking about getting a kit as I'm spending £12 a time on a 50ml bottle I think it is.

My shop specializes in custom made juice and we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee with every bottle. I would take your juice to the shop and just talk to them about it and give them a chance to fix it

I think you'll find that vanilla from your cupboard is nowhere near as concentrated as the flavorings we use! I'd take Huck's advice either and put the juice away for a few days or try the hot water method.

I wouldn't vape ethanol and it's part of the ingredients !

I had a little bit in the tank rather than the whole bottle and I'm glad I didn't put it in the bottle. It didn't give much taste and tbh I didn't want to end up wasting all the liquid
