The Creepshow franchise has taken many forms over the years, from film to TV series to comics. But surprisingly, we've never seen a Creepshow horror novel. That finally changes with the release of Creepshow: 13 Tales of Terror, a prose anthology collection from Monstrous Books and Evoke Entertainment.
IGN can exclusively debut a preview of one of the stories featured in Creepshow: 13 Tales of Terror. Check out the slideshow gallery below for a taste of author Tim Waggoner's "When the Mask Falls":
The full lineup of writers on Creepshow: 13 Tales of Terror includes:
- James Aquilone (Kolchak: The Night Stalker)
- David Avallone (Elvira: Mistress of the Dark)
- Simon Bestwick (Best Horror of the Year)
- Nancy A. Collins (Swamp Thing, Blade Runner, Sonja Blue)
- Dennis Crosby (Weird Tales)
- Keith R.A. DeCandido (Supernatural Crimes Unit, Star Trek, Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
- Gwendolyn Kriste (2024 Bram Stoker Award for Best Novel for The Haunting of Velkwood)
- Jonathan Maberry (V-Wars)
- Lisa Morton (The Best American Mystery Stories 2020)
- Steve Niles (30 Days of Night)

Each story also features illustrations by EV Cantada (Zorro Black & White Noir).
“Each story is a macabre celebration of Creepshow™’s legacy,” said Aquilone in a statement. “We’ve assembled a can’t-miss anthology, with morality tales of terror, justice, and cosmic retribution, all told with the Creep’s ghoulish grin.”
Creepshow: 13 Tales of Terror will be released on June 23. You can preorder a copy on Amazon.
Last year, Monstrous Books released a superhero-themed Creepshow series called Super Creepshow.
