Creme de menthe question

I know from tpa msds that "creme de menthe" is vanillin and peppermint oil.

My question is does this turn pink when it steeps, like vanillin by itself? I suspect it to be in halo subzero, that's why I ask.

This was one of the first ones I ever mixed. If memory serves, yes, it was pink after a bit.

It does turn pink, but as it ages you'll get a nice golden color.

It's not TPA creme de menthe... I'm stuck on my clone searching for a missing flavoring. Could take a year. I'll find it someday.
