Cuboid or IPV5

Picking up one or the other next week. I've all but made up my mind, just want to hear some other opinions before pulling the trigger. My main concern is the stainless steel temp and which does it better... So sound off...

If I was going to buy one of them, it would be the IPV5. The reason being (I'm going to catch Hell for this), I think Yihi chips are better than Joyetech chips (especially when comparing the upper tier of Yihi chips). It uses there second best chip atm. For the price it seems like you get 90%+ of what a SX Mini can do at ~1/4 of the price. Now if you put a DNA200 choice in there....

I don't own a ipv5, but do have a ipv4 and a Cuboid. For me the Joyetech chip outperforms the YIHI, especially in TC.
Strictly my personal opinion.
P.S. The Cuboid is built very well, solid.

the TCR for SS316L is 092
SX350J a TCR of 092 works well but I like 095 better.
Joytech chip 092 barely warms the wire 125 is the setting I use to get a good vape.
They both work but the YIHI chip is more accurate.

I should mention that with Ti 1 wire it's TCR 350 vs 366 between them.

One thing I forgot to add in my original post. For regular power mode the IPV5 gives you more flexibility build wise with it's 45 amp output limit compared to the Cuboid's 25 amp limit (unless that has been changed).

Thanks guys. I had pretty much decided on the cuboid but a lot of good arguments are being made for the IPV. It's never an easy choice when you have so many options.

Go with what you want and what your gut tells you to get. Don't let what someone else would get influence you. If you don't get what you really want, you will always have a nagging doubt in the back of your mind. You will probably end up getting both either way lol. Good luck my friend!

The only IPV I own is a D2 and its rock solid. I've never had a single issue with it but it is a pretty simple mod. As for joyetech, I'm on my 2nd VTC mini, the first one shit the bed and my current one is a bit wonkey in SS temp mode. Now I'm really considering the IPV. The cuboid would be a little boring considering it's pretty much the same thing as my VTC and RX. I'm also curious to see how this Pure mode pans out. The one thing that keeps me leaning towards the joyetech is the firmware upgrades. I don't know how IPV would be in the department. Hell, they already have a good enough reason to put one out considering 30% of them have a glitch right out of the box.

I've owned nothing BUT IPVs... IPV4, IPV D2, IPVD3, and a soon to be owner of the IPV5. I also own a VTC Mini, but favor my IPVs if not for the SS TC on the Evic. People can say P4y sucks all they want, but i've never had any issues with any of mine. jussayin. Do what you like though, both mods are pretty solid if you ask me.

IPV5, period. I've had way too many friends having problems and troubles with Cuboid from scratching finishes, screens, etc., while none with IPV5 (yet?). And I've owned many mods from both camps, yihi is definitely better, imho.

I'd say it's both. The software knows what the board can safely deal with and limits it.

The rx200 had the same issue when it first came out, after 2-3 updates limitation went away, I haven't upgraded my x2 cuboids both of them are still 150watts max, with the limit...
So yeah, upgrade to 200 watts see what it does if u decide with cuboid
Can't trust p4y they left a bad taste in my mouth...

I thought all 3 companies were connected. Are you sure Sig isn't using chips made by Yihi, even if they aren't calling them Yihi by name. If they aren't, I wonder who's chips they are using?

As a dealer I like the cuboid, not too sure about the the ipv5. The ipv4 did it in for me. It just didn't preform the way I thought it should have. As the cuboid hasn't disappointed me yet. Seems to be a more heavier hit for me. Not to mention the price point.

We have an ipv5 at our shop, and all i can really say is that it's damn sexy. Its built incredibly well, the quality is outstanding. Its like a bigger, sturdier D3. I haven't really vaped on it, but when i did it worked wonderfully haha

Seems like it's a very popular mod and most places have sold out. With China still ramping back up production after the Chinese New Year shutdown, might take a few days for companies to resupply. That's my take on why all colors are basically in short supply atm.

I'm fairly certain that, if my next mod is a dual-18650, it'll be an IPV5. I also want an Aeolus Lite RDA. So I'm waiting to see if a vendor (preferably one with which I already have an account) will end up with both in stock for a decent price.
