If the mod can do BOTH VW regulation and TC. Start with the VW if you can. This will depend on the type of coil in your device. Not all coil can be used in VW regulation just as not all coil can be used for TC.
I always.. Start at the lowest wattage that produces steam and work up from there. TC I do pretty much the same , BUT with using the VW preferences as a baseline. So If I vape at 15watts VW in start at 15 for TC. Then start working my way up in temp till I either find the vape I want or determine I need to bump the wattage and start over. When chasing watts or temp I always go down a couple steps before going up.
