Curious question

I'm curious with this question I have..
I've been a vaper for two years, I build my own coils and use a 3.0mm on all my builds. I'm curious and googled but ain't getting a straight answer to my question.

Question :: so what is the big difference between a #3.0mm screwdriver and #1screwdriver? They both look to me to be the same size and same width!

As far as I know the numbering system refers to the size and angle of the Phillips head and has nothing to do with the diameter of the shaft, while a 3mm screwdriver has a 3mm diameter shaft.

Both are correct. The #1 does refer to the shape and size of the head, but it is also measured in inches.
