Check in. My sister has been released from the hospital. They said they needed the bed. My niece is in a regular room but not even close to being released.
DH and I are fine and so are my two boys (male Siamese cats) They're inside cats so I'm not worried about them carrying the virus.
I need to order some groceries but DH wants out of the house so we'll probably go to the store a little later.

Edit to add: I'm not sure where this should go so I'll say it here. My nephew is 16. He's also autistic and has a brain disorder. A large portion of his brain contains dead white matter and as a result is nonverbal. He lives in a inpatient treatment center. My sister just found out he's been assaulted 9 times in the last 2 weeks. He won't defend himself. Were extremely worried about this situation. Please pray for him and my sister that this gets resolved soon. There is no other facility he can go to and he's way too big for my sister to handle. Thank you for listening to my family issues.

So sorry to hear about the abuse of your nephew. That's not acceptable, especially coming from the facility that's supposed to be a safe place for him. My prayers go out to him, you and your family on that one. I hope something can change for the better.

I did leave the house today. I took the dog for a walk at the wildlife preserve. She loves it there, all sorts of fun interesting smells. We attended Mass on the internet today, it's just not the same... Other than that, just weekend mode of SSDD.

That kind of thing is amongst my pet hates, abuse of the helpless. Here is hoping it ends full stop.

All the same here, dreaming of going fishing, detecting, just getting away for a day like I usually did seeing and hearing nobody. This is the longest I have ever spent not doing that. I miss the solitude. But its far from being a legit complaint knowing what others are going through.

@Anibird , That just burns me up to hear about how your nephew is being treated. The ones in charge of that facility should loose their job and the facility should be brought up on charges of neglect and sued. I will keep him in my prayers.

Still hanging in there. Just took it easy today, did a few honey do's. People around here are starting to get pretty violent, had two shootings across the river, people are just plain rude in the stores, cars and houses being broke into more than usual, it just ain't cool. Good to see everyone is holding up here.

I'd start by calling the police, plain and simple

At least shame them into making a report; whether the violence is from another client or a staff member, it is 100% unacceptable and a criminal act

The kids all took turns for my step dads birthday on Saturday... step sister and her husband from noon - 2... me, my other step sister and her husband from 2-4, my bro and his lady after that. Worked out okay I guess, but was really weird to not all be there at the same time.

All is well here. Got a small Aldi's order yesterday, mostly veggies and bread. Delivery driver was wearing a mask! I was quite impressed... ordered at 1:35... order was being shopped by 1:50... and it delivered about 2:15... and the best part?.... TOILET PAPER!!!!!!!! They are still limiting it to 1 per order, but I was very shocked to actually get it.

Ohio is still on the rise, haven't hit that plateau they've been hoping for. At this rate we could be locked in all summer. Oh, and I also found out that on Friday when gov was about to announce the extension of the SAH order... men with guns showed up outside the Gov's building. So he changed the name of our SAH order to "Stay Safe". I've seen this is also happening in a couple other places. Scary to think what's gonna happen if these rebels get out of control.

Today is going to be a RAD day... yup! It's a surprise!


Wife is off today, for she is scheduled for Saturday... what a long weekend that was with the wife home lol...

We took a drive yesterday up into North County... beaches were open, (didn't walk about the beaches) saw the Carlsbad flower fields, ocean drive via scenic route... was a nice change... making plans on where and what we will do when normality somewhat comes back.

Made the wife happy and honestly, I was relieved some to just be out besides our neighborhood walks with the fur kids.


Brother messaged me yesterday on FB, said he got the money I sent him, which I am glad he did; I need to send a package there, but packages are so unreliable (clothes, shoes, shirts, all things that cost way to much there compared to here)

We get to brave Costco in an hour... take advantage of her Nurse credentials to not have to wait in line... get the goods and gtfo lol

Family is good and we are good.

Going to be hot here in SD the next few days... borderline mid 90s (YIKES)

Bunch of really nice, friendly people here, which is perfect for a person like me. Like I said in an earlier post, I was born to make friends, and help people. I've decided to make my vape home here at this fine community, so y'all are stuck with me now. It's not my fault. You can blame it on Don, and that "other forum". Thanks Rhianne! I am a very social person, who loves to make friends and help others. It's what I was born for. I am very socially active in my local community, and also have a lot of local vaping friends. That's the only frustration I have with great online communities like this. The making friends and helping others part is easy. It's the realization that I probably will never to be able to meet most of you face to face that is the hard part for me. I do have some friends at this community, and the other forum that I socialize with outside the forum, and talking to them on the phone at least gives me a voice. Some, I video chat with, which is even better. Some I just private chat with, and sometimes we share pictures. So, I like to put pictures of myself and family up so y'all can see who the guy is that's typing out stuff when he's talking about himself and his family. I know and understand that not everyone is comfortable with doing that, but real people see us every day, and we all have friends and people that we meet and interact with on a daily basis. So, it's no different for me, whether online or in person that people see me, and know what I look like. Just makes it a little more personal. I sure would like to see some of your smiling faces though. I know that I will become close with, and grow fond of many of you. It's just inevitable. How could I not with such a great group of people? So I hope no one minds if I put up pictures of me and my family once in awhile. Also, if anyone would ever like to talk on the phone, just start a private conversation with me, and I'll give you my phone number. Monday check in, it is Monday, right? Went out today to get supplies and in response to yesterdays riots, (yes 200 people roited/brawled yesterday in Peoria which yielded two being shot), they have a police officer at every store we went over there, kinda shaky times here, I've been carrying my 44 to go over there. Still seeing some without masks even though it's mandatory in public. I hope it's not goin to be this way everywhere.
But we are still well and doin good here, not sick and didn't get shot today. Everyone stay safe and have a good evening

Keep hearing about the "other forum". I know which one it is but sheesh, that place is Sesame Street to the one I bailed from! I wont even repeat some of the things members said to me and made fun of there.

Still good and so are family and friends. Pa now over 50,000 and climbing.Most cases are on the ne and se,the western half of state doing well. Both morons and corona commercials really aggravating me. Also watching some of the extreme weather, which while normal in spring,can't help but wonder how the world shutdowns are affecting this. While I do believe that the temporary cleaning of envirament is a good thing it must be causing atmospheric changes due to happening so fast. I have been really craving pizza, maybe in june. We head to phase 2 of reopening here in California this Friday... scary, but I get it.

Some businesses that weren't classified as essential will reopen (with strict guidelines)

In other news...

Family is good, we are good Although my #1 Niece's school put out a memo yesterday that commencement for her graduation will be online... I feel for her, but I am also glad... we were to be there the 28th in Arizona... its already 105* there LOL

MELTING!!!! and on the 28th probably near 115*+ ... We planned to arrive the night before, stay for the graduation and the dinner party after and drive back to the 70's here in SD... Saves us some money driving there and hotel for 2 nights (27th/28th)

Nothing different going on here. Still staying at home, still working at home. Cases in Virginia still rising, but the rate of new cases is stabilizing. Now at something over 20k cases for the state and 713 deaths. 18 cases in my county, and one person hospitalized. The Governor decided to hold off one more week before rolling out Phase I of the reopening here. I'm not entirely sure what's involved in this Phase I because I've been lax for the past two weeks about watching his talks on TV.

Good morning!
I feel so bad for the graduating seniors this year! Prom and grad ceremonies are rights of passage.
Today is back to the 80's, so much better. House is opened up, feels so good.
Hubby hit Walmart (after the busy senior hour), zipped in and out. Glad we didn't need much.
Jessie cat thinks she sees a bug on the floor, I think it's a piece of catnip. Lol. She's a kick.

I’ve been craving diner food and delivery food like pizza. At this rate, I’m not sure when, either.

Check in. My sister is out of the hospital but we couldn't go visit because we are high risk. My niece will be in the hospital another week. DH and I are doing fine.

My sister met with officials from the group home and right after the meeting my nephew was assaulted again. They think the problem is that Christian wants them to hug him so he gets in their face. The other kids have brain disorders too so they freak out and abuse him physically. I have to admit that having a very large kid in your face is very disconcerting.

On another note my 88 year old parents are fine. And while DH and I are getting bored staying at home we've been very lucky!

It’s disconcerting but still they’re not meant to be hitting or whatever. I was worried it might be other kinds of abuse. Totally sucks, though.
