Dark horse coil help

A better photo would help, but...that looks like a dual coil. If you're using 24 awg @ 1/16" and what looks to be about 6 wraps...you're in the 0.2 ohm range, correct?
From the looks of this thing, you've got too much cotton in there, which is restricting your airflow and resulting in smaller hits. You only need enough wick to run through the coil and just be touching the bottom of the juice well.

I prefer 3/32" ID, also makes for easier wicking. On my 26650 RDAs, I'm using 1/8" or more.
I've got a Dark Horse myself, and it does put out the good vapor, & flavor with my Double Tiger .45 ohm single coil build, the only complaint I have is the damn juice well is too small. I think it would be a first rate RDA if they made the juice well the same size, or just a wee bit deeper than the Vulcan has. That's the other RDA I use exclusively. Working with a Magma, trying to get accustomed to it, & eliminate the leak.
One solution I found was to take a rubber gasket like the ones with a Taifun, & slip it around the bottom of the deck in that little groove. That has helped it big time. I think it's a great RDA, & I'll keep using it, but the first one I would choose without hesitation for my all day vaping would be my beloved Vulcan.

We're running a Darkhorse with 26gage twisted wire. We did a double coil with 9 wraps on both sides and loaded the drip wall with cotton. We also removed the centre screw and replaced it with the allen key thread piece. That made it way easier to work with, no issues. If you notice in the picture, each coil is slightly angled up to help push the airflow through.
It looks like you might be over juicing the cotton a bit too.

I would try to get the coils higher so they are above the air intake holes when the top cap is installed, and make sure that there is adequate open space below the coil, not packed with cotton. The more easily air is able to flow across the coils, the better the results IMO. Also, I flip my airflow ring to increase velocity. YMMV.
