Now let me show everyone who the fog really is. This is a PM I got from the fog.
"your not that bright are you....
you must be a drinker....beer drinkers have a hard time reading or understanding math and numbers and stuff...fuck off scuba ball sack"

This after I tried to explain some simple battery safety to the guy. Who's been vaping for 3 months.
I don't drink or do drugs.

And this is exactly why the DEA feels compelled to explain things to people who should know better.

Civilization does have a tendency to be its own worst enemy....

Now sit down and play nice or Grampa is going to take your colors away...

If you want to hear something sick, school kids soak tampons in vodka and put em up where vodka soaked tampons shouldn't' be. Yea, Boys do it too. Supposedly the technique stops the odor of alcohol on the kids breath, but the problem is the genitals and anus are mucus membranes and tend to have blood vessels close to the surface which means a kid can get alcohol poisoning quite easily.
Yes they talked about that too!!!

Wow! I missed a lot while I was in school! I only meant to bring to the attention of a community that I love, how we as vapers can be lumped into a group of people that do drugs. I'll be honest, I am a second grade teacher, that completely BUST MY ASS WHILE HAVING SOME MAJOR HEALTH ISSUES THAT CAUSES ME A GREAT DEAL OF PAIN, TO DO MY VERY BEST FOR EVERY KID THAT I TEACH!!!!!! I personally sat there thinking, I wonder how many people in this room would look at me different if they knew I vaped? Well I would hope with the excellent reputation I do have with many of the people that know me and know the work I do, I could change their minds about vaping. Doing it in a room full of people is not the type of person I am, I will deal with it on a one on one basis.

As for Celtic, I am sorry to hear that you have a bad taste for the education system, I would only hope that you would not judge all of us on whatever experiences you have had. Personally, this past week has brought many rewards for me, as does the beginning of every year when open house finds my classroom full of past parents and students coming back to see me. Or when I got a text from a parent whose child that was diagnosed severely autistic, was able to be put into a regular ed room, something that people said never would happen, after three years of myself and her special ed teacher believing that we could work beyond her IEP, and connect with the child that was locked inside of her and prove to all of her specialists, that she could learn, that she could communicate, well this week, the little girl that spent the first day of kindergarten bouncing literally off the walls screaming, walked into the middle school as a regular ed 4th grader!

I also have to say that not all parents are not responsible or educated enough to home school their children, I have one this year that breaks my heart! Throughout my career, I have hugged children that have come back and told me that on some days I was the only person to hug them! I have been with a boy the day after he completed the first grade when grandma had to tell him, his mother, his only parent had died from complications of a double lung transplant. Teaching the three R's is no longer the only thing I am responsible for. Sad, but true, so while your children are lucky to have a parent love them, unfortunately that's not true for every child in America or the little village in Ohio that I teach in. So please understand for some children, the only way out of their miserable little lives is to look up to someone else, someone like me, that took the time to love them when they were difficult, and to realize that there are reasons behind their anger, their opposition. Or for the high schoolers that my husband and I have worked with that took the time to not judge them based on their black t-shirts or love for music that some people associate with drugs, and automatically think they are bad people.

Please don't think I am tooting my own horn, I am nothing special by any means, I just want to point out that I deal with children every day, that if it were not for an education system, or people that gave a shit would not have much to look forward to in life. I am not trying to change your mind, I only ask that before anyone judges me as an educator, you walk one day not in my shoes, but beside me! Like every walk of life, every profession, you have people that do a job to get by, some you wonder how they keep their jobs, and others that break their backs doing what they love. I have several degrees, okay, by my typing you may not know it all the time ;), but without that education I wouldn't be in the position I am to be there for these kids! I come from parents that worked in a factory and a steel mill, making more money than I will, but I have the opportunity to change a child's life! What an amazing responsibility! One I do take to heart!

I didn't take it that way!!!! Please don't think about it, I just hated the idea of vapers being lumped into the group of drug users. The presentation was great, a real eye opener. In fact I am thinking about trying to figure out a way to email them and say hey, ya know it would be great if when you discuss this portion, you make a very clear distinction between the two types of vaping!

You have nothing to apologize for. You are a teacher, provide knowledge and teach the kids and hope it sticks.

@Damwow kudos to you. 2 of my children are public school teachers. It's a daunting task to teach children and adolescents these days. I applaud your dedication.

Thanks guys, guess I get a little carried away when I talk about what I do! I held a little girl yesterday as she cried for her mom and I showed her the fever blisters on my mouth and told her that every since I was a little girl I have gotten so nervous at the beginning of the year that this happens to me! She was crying to the point I thought she would hyper ventilate and she looks at me, stops completely and says you mean it don't get no better????!!!!! I thought I would drop her I was laughing so hard!
