After some bumps in the road in Deadpool #10, the "Deadpool vs. Sabretooth" storyline bounces back and delivers a satisfying conclusion. With Marvel failing to give Sabretooth the attention he deserves lately, it's good to see one member of the extended X-Men family trying to pick up the slack.
Issue #10 stumbled because it shifted focus away from the psychology of this rivalry and toward the physical side of things. Not that there isn't some fun to be had in watching two unkillable assassins go to town on each other, but that was never really the point of this conflict. As reluctant as Sabretooth is to reciprocate, this was always a very one-sided fight anyway. The finale shifts back towards exploring Wade's fragile mental state and Victor's selfless attempt to help Wade come to terms with his tragic past. It's more character-driven, and thus a more compelling read.
