Demon killer ‘Alien’?

So I got a demon killer 8-in-1 pre made coil set and noticed the alien coils didn’t look like alien coils I’ve seen on photos...the wire or whatever was straight like a regular Clapton and not wavey as I expected.
Anyone else notice this?

P.s: I was gonna buy demon killer alien coils on there own but they areee the same price as the 8-in-1 and as this would only give me 8 or 10 coils (I forgot how many) I chose the 48 coils for better value...anyway the alien coils in that one see legit

Maybe just a bad batch. The aliens I got looked fine. Keep in mind if you're throwing them on a mech that the ramp up time might be an issue.

the demon killer aliens are not aliens. alien wire is generally three round cores with wavy alien wrap. the demon killer alien coils are a chunky flat wire with extra chunky clapton wraps. it has nothing in common with alien wire that builders make, and its poorly designed as far as vaping coils go. if you are buying pre-made coils, try to find the ones with 36 gauge (or higher) wrap wire. the 32 and 30 gauge wrapped chinese coils are terrible performers.

Idk where you're buying yours at but the aliens i have got from demon killer are actual alien coils. Sounds like you got an even cheaper knock off that the demon killers and were just falsely labeled

lol i have a spool of it right here. heres a link to it. i make my own wire, so i dont really follow what demon killer is up to. did they actually start making real aliens at some point? i know they caught a lot of shit for calling this junk 'alien wire', so maybe they stepped up their game.

Last time I got some they were pretty good. I got a pack of 10 for $10. You gotta change them every couple of weeks but besides that I see no difference than regular aliens.

Also I make my own coils now. Prebuilts just didn't cut it for me. But I can only make basic wire and haven't done any other builds yet, but I plan on trying some 3 strand braids here soon.

ok they have 'alien v2' which appear to be following the normal recipe...but still all ka1, giant wrap wire and from the pics, terribly made. please dont buy these

I don't buy them anymore lol. They were too beefy for me and had ridiculous ramp-up time on my mech. But I still don't see any difference except for the size gauges used for the core

its the 32 gauge wrap wire like i said above. use 36 or higher if you dont like ridiculous ramp up, wasted battery/juice and burning your lips on hot atomizers. i know there are cheap pre-made coils on the chinese sites that use 36 and higher gauge wrap. cant comment on build/wire quality, but at least they are using the same ingredients that normal builders use.

wire with 32 or 30 gauge wrap is so bad that i have seen people swear off 'exotic coils' based on one experience with this stuff, then come to the forums and tell everyone exotic coils are junk lol. dunno whether to laugh or cry.

Yeh I just put in some tiger coils and spaced them out abit, raised them and moved them closer to airflow (too close as I can’t even adjust the airflow without it scraping against the coil) but nevertheless I can tell an increase in flavour which is what I wanted

try the coil father stuff on fasttech, their claptons seem to all use 38 wrap. i just spent a few mins browsing all the pre-made wire and its a sad state of affairs imo.

For it to be a true alien it pretty much has to be from hand built wire, I take the guesswork out and just buy them or at least the wire from someone that does. The thing is, there's no patent or law saying that wire has to be hand built or built a certain way for it to be called alien. So we have companies using machines to make coils and then label them alien for marketing.

If I were you open the window and throw everything that says demon killer and smok out. Now that we have a clean slate, what coils and material you want? Performance wise, higher, lower or mid range watt/temp? atties you're building on (important the size because we can't suggest stuff like staircase coils if you running a 22mm velocity deck) etc.

Don't just say I want alien, least state why because most ppl just drop that name but actually don't wanted them, or they don't fit their style.
