Desert ship to dry

Using desert ship (fa) 4%, 50/50 pg/vg with aspire triton kanthal has a dry Vape. Makes me cough sometimes. Is there something to add that will make this less dry? Looking to get my wife away from halos torque 56, her favorite. Torque 56 has to much vg imo. I steep the juice at least several weeks. None of my other diy's make me cough, have been using tpa, fa, cap, and lb . 4% desert ship is a high %, but needed to come close to torque 56. Will try adding small % Perique black (fa), and play with ry4 double (tpa) later.

Desert Ship is a dry tobacco flavor, like a cig. You can try adding a tiny bit of vanilla, or Vienna Cream to the blend to soften the bite. What nic level are you at?

Some say a few drops of apple cider vinegar but I've never tried it. I like my DS, basically ;), standalone at 2.5%. To me, Perique is an even drier flavor than DS. If you can stand it, dropping the % as little as .5 could make a big difference.

If all that fails. Try bumping your VG up, or adding 5% distilled water.

I'm inclined to go with this. It seems you've got two separate, yet related problems - dryness and harshness. Higher VG should help the harshness and in turn not taste so dry, but if you're against adding VG or using less flavor then maybe some kind of mellowing flavor like @Zamazam suggests, or some EM or TFA Smooth might soften the bite.

All excellent suggestions. A couple of drops of Ethyl Maltol will add moisture (and a little sweetness) but will arguably mute the flavor.

Why not one drop per 60ml? I've used one drop per 30ml. And that's really too much for me. So just one drop per 60ml might do the trick.

Sometimes I use a bit of Marshmallow but don't know how well it will play with the tobaccos.

Back the flavoring down to 1%. FA Desert Ship is a very potent flavoring.

I have to agree with most of what people have said so far.

If you normally vape 50/50 on your diy mixes and it's just this one you may need to drop your flavor 1-2%. Or up the vg to 60. Me personally I can't do a 50/50 because I tend to get a sore throat.

Based on my newbie experience and hours and hours of reading. If you really really like the flavor your getting...
Mix one 15ml bottle of 50/50 at 1-2% flavor if you like 50/50 mixes...you can always add more flavor later.
Then mix another 15ml bottle at 1-2%flavor with a higher vg (40pg/60vg or my fav 30pg/70vg).
Both of which may need time to steep and then test it out. Vape 3mls and take notes on flavor and throat feel.

Good luck. Hope this helps

That is one of those flavors that just a drop too much will make you start to hate it.
