Private match functionality in Destiny launches on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 tomorrow, an Activision press release, sent in error to press a day early, revealed.
Major League Gaming will host the first Destiny private match competition, and, according to the press release, the private match roll-out was to be announced then. The email was originally planned for release at 11 am PST; if it's to be believed, Destiny's private match feature could be live just before then.
Older consoles will not have access to Destiny's private match functionality, though all Destiny players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be able to use the feature, regardless of whether or not they've purchased Destiny: Rise of Iron. With the feature, players will be able to head into any of Destiny's map, using many of its competitive game modes.
