Nintendo has announced Detective Pikachu, and it’s coming to Japanese 3DSs on February 3.
The newly-released trailer shows Pikachu in a detective hat going around a city, talking, and drinking coffee. There are some screenshots towards the end of the video, which shows the electric mouse hanging around with a boy in a red hoody.
To be honest, we’re not really sure what the game is (Sherlock Holmes + Pikachu?). Have a look at the trailer, you’ll see what we mean.
We first heard about the game back in 2013. Allegedly, there’s a special blue Pikachu who talks and can be "controlled via motion capture and facial recognition.” Whether that feature is still on the cards remains to be seen.
