So, since starting DIYing my own juice I have started growing out my beard. I got to the point of needing beard balm & beard oil to keep it professional looking & tame. I bought beard balm & was not very happy at the price. $13.99 to $30 is just too much. Suddenly I got the idea to look up how to DIY my own. I just ordered the stuff to do it. I'm already looking into DIY beard shampoo, as well. I think I caught a DIY bug. Anyone else find themselves branching out their DIY world?

Been a DIY nut for years - but bet you can definitely make better (healthier) personal care products than are on the market

It's the only way to fly - I don't buy commercial soap, shampoo, lotion, deodorant, antiseptic, etc

I've always been a DIY type. That's one of the big draws for vaping, for me! I'm a Maker and used to enjoy making many of my own woodworking tools. It's very satisfying.

My wife used to make our soap, shampoo, deodorant, laundry detergent, lip balm, & probably a few other things I'm not remembering but after she came down with some serious health issues she not able to anymore. However, we are going to pick & choose some that we can do together now.

to make 30mls

15 mls jojoba oil
5 mls grape seed oil
5 mls castor oil
5 mls sweet almond oil

5-10 drops ceder wood essential oil
5-10 drops pine wood essential oil
10-15 drops eucalyptus essential oil


shake, apply, and be bad ass

I don't have cedar or pine, so I will give the recipe I can't up with my wife a shot first. It's sandalwood, black pepper, & eucalyptus. But that one looks pretty awesome!

And I have no beard buddies, lol! I've always liked a long beard but everyone has always shamed me into cutting it. Not this time, though. I'm too old to worry about pleasing others.
