Do not buy the Kbox Platinum for TC

So I made a post a while ago praising the new Kbox 60w platinum. HOWEVER. If you're buying this mod for temp control, think again. It has a hell of a time reading Ni200 coils. Especially on the Uwell Crown. Still a decent mod for VW mode, but be warned, it's given me a lot of problems with a couple of different TC coils including Ti and Ni.

Have you tried a different tank with Ni200 coils on your device? Curious exactly what problem(s) you are having with the Crown in TC mode?

I've tried the ISub Apex with a .4 and .2 Ni200, as well as a .4 Ti. The Crown only the .15 Ni.

A lot of the time upon turning it on, and firing, it flips to VW mode and stops firing. It'll do this again if you change it back to TC mode. The only way to fix it is to turn it off and on again, unscrew the tank and fire it to read that there is no atomizer, then screw it back on and select new atomizer.

I think this must be a "Kanger thing," the same thing happens with the 200w box. You can jack it all the way to 200w and the vape is still cool. But if you take the tank off and try to fire, then put the tank back on and fire, only then will it ask if it's a new coil and work like it should.

Kanger seems to just suck at TC. The new K200 is awful at it and they had the balls to claim it does TC on Nichrome. Not to mention the OCC Ni200 are just awful. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Kanger should focus their energy on pen style mods and Subox mini type vapes. I also wish they would fix the leak issues on the Neebox. I tried a friends out and it was a great vape.

Well, I'm happy to know it's not just me doing something wrong. The Istick 100w TC arrived a couple of days ago, and so far I've been very happy with it. It's a much more precise and reliable vape. Plus the battery life is amazing! I was initially hesitant, because my first mod was the Istick 50w, and we all know how 'wonderful' those mods are, but from my short time with the new Istick, I can tell that Eleaf is heading in the right direction.
