Do you create your recipes by volume then convert to mix by weight?

All of my previous recipes were originally created and mixed by volume. I am now mixing by weight and have converted those recipes. Now that I am creating recipes based on weight, how do I mix a specific volume? If I average out the dozen or so recipes I already have it comes to 1.214mg/ml for 80/20 and 1.192 for 70/30; do I use this as a basis when creating, or should I continue creating by volume and converting?

This assumes I continue using the same concentration of nicotine based in VG, and PG based flavors.

Actually that was all for 0 nic mixes so the type of nicotine will have no effect, but this sort of makes the point, with changes in nicotine and bases my volume becomes variable.

The calculator I use on eliquid recipes I enter as volume and it also gives me the weight, I also mix by weight but am more comfortable developing by volume. Best of both worlds. I believe most calculators have the same function.
