Where ( crossing my fingers ) all you daily gear is just perfect?

Today is one of those days for me.

I had put some gear up for sale and something was nagging me. Ive sold things that for one reason or another felt the need to sell. Sometimes it just isnt something that suits my style or its great but too hard for me to set up due to my hands and vision.

I put up a pair of RTAs after I cleaned and spiffed them up. I kept looking at my mods and started missing them.

So today I set one of them up and damn if its not really good, so Im keeping it.

I refilled and rewicked some of my others and they too are vaping perfectly. I feel real pleased with myself and am happy as a clam.

Ever put something away and take it out and give it another go and find yourself wondering why you were not using it all this time?

I started thinking about the cycle of our vaping likes and dislikes and notice that every year around this time I start to have some atties "act up" Usually its that some of them start to almost over wick. That little slurping starts up and it makes me have to rip that wick off an experiment a bit.

Today, I realized that its the summer heat. I dont have air conditioning so it gets hot some days and that affects the viscosity. I use almost all VG and even that gets thin and starts to get slushy. That means having to use less cotton or trimming the wick differently to slow things down a bit.

Any way just thoughts.

I was just vaping away on one of my favorite set ups and noticed it was not performing like it usually does.

Cleaned and rewicked, still poor, cleaned contacts, still kinda misfiring. Finally checked the voltage on battery and big OOOPS, it was down to 2.4 V.

I dont do that very often but it reminds me why I love the mechs I have. Though I would not recommend to let them get down that low, Im glad they are so nice that they can still get some good puffs even that low.

I had a very expensive MOD by a very good modder that just never worked out for me. It had such a bad voltage drop because of design flaws, ( again mine did not work out) that at 3.8 it would mis fire like crazy and even with a freshly charged ;4.2v battery it just was weak.

I was miserable with that mod, I had to clean, and clean every day and sometimes a couple times a day. The thing just got oxidated like nuts. As much as I loved the looks of it and waited almost a year for it, it was just so frustrating.

Anyway, nothing like a good light cleaning and fresh battery on a good MOD and its like day one.

yep I noticed the warm weather to is affecting my vape.as it get's warmer It's time to put away the 325 mesh and pull out some 400 mesh as my high VG juices are thinning down....Yeah I have a little stormrider from steamboy, and every so often I pull it out and put a build in it and think....damn that's a nice little genny....I don't use it very often anymore, and it isn't a blue ribbon atty but it is solidly good and I'll never part with it....

Hmm, didnt think about using a different grade of mesh on my Taifun GSL. I prefer the mesh feeding tubes and I do have a tighter weave. Maybe I will try that out. Thanks pulsevape !

Its odd, I use Flash-e-vapers that are similar in that they use mesh feeding tubes but they never give me problems with the temp changes nor altitude changes. I think that the FEV have a slightly different tank design that does not create such a vacuum.

on the flash-e-vapor you have gravity on your side.

I can't seem to get rid of my SMY Mini 60 TC even though I don't really need it. It is small and easy to carry around and I love the display. I need to sell more of my stuff off but every time I try to make myself sell then I think how much I really like it and back out. We are downsizing and moving in June so stuff has to go but WHICH STUFF :xD::xD::xD:

Warmer weather has resulted in using less wattage for me and I use high VG Ratios predominantly.

Not really... everytime I've tried that, I just discovered all over again why I put it away. :D I used to think my KFL+'s were just THE SHIT, but now... meh. Same for cartos -- and I really LOVE the tight draw of cartos, but there's just no flavor -- same for Kayfuns. Too spoiled with my Achilles RDAs. :D

Had a bad build day...

I had been wanting this great little atty for a long time. I kept putting it off and finding excuses.

Its supposed to be a Genesis but it can be built for cotton with a vert coil or with silica and vert coil.

It looked even more beautiful in person, what craftsmanship, those brits sure are good .

I just cant get it to work for me. I cant build a vert coil for the life of me. I actually tried to do a mesh genny build and I cant make a wick for the life of me. I must have rolled more than Cheech and Chongs whole career.

My hands are so sore. My right hands thumb is cramped up and so painful , I can barely hold any of my MODs.

Just another beautiful atty that I cant build because of my shitty hands.

I saw your ad, that is a very nice looking atty. Have you tried a coil master tool, or do you hand wrap?

I use a coil jig, which helps. Its just something about the shape of vert ones and I cant keep the wire from touching things it shouldnt.

Well, dont want to break any rules, its in the classifieds now. ;)
not a genny I'd recommend to a novice genny user.or someone who has physical limitations...it's small and the wickhole it small, as is the airhole which is teeny...you have to build it high for it to shine.but within it's limitations it is a good atty.not genny for cotton not enough airflow.of course NO genny should have to suffer the indignity of cotton...
Can't say as I ever had much problem with it wicking...as a MTL gennys go ..it's pretty damn nice.

The air seemed pretty nice. I ordered the 2mm one.

It is a beauty and from other users , its really great on taste and ease of set up, but I guess not for me.
