on nearly all the juices I have used, when I get towards the bottom of the bottle, it seems to get stronger.
maybe its just me. and yes, I shake, but perhaps not enough. I think I am going to start storing my bottles upside down.

Suppose it could, but it seems improbable (to me anyways). I am the worst about shaking my DIY and almost never do it. Are you certain you are getting a good solid blend when mixing? What kind if blends are you making (VG/PG Ratio's) and what kind of nic are you using?

Bought or DIY juice?
In any case ejuice charastics can change a lot as the ejuice is aged and exposed to oxygen.

Nic settling? Not usually and why always shake before using ejuice.
And juices with some non water soluble oily substances in them will stratify some.

Just my opinion for me but I would not vape any ejuice that does visibly stratify.
I hear vaping oils is not good for ya.

I nearly always shake, to one extent or another. sometimes I roll the bottle.

pretty sure. I am using only one of my DIY's. its the CAFE COFFEE FW with SScap. made a 10ml, about 7 of it gone. just made a 20ml that I am trying right now. the first batch was nearly S&B.
20pg 80vg.
all 6mg nic.

It could be the bottle of the bottle tastes stronger because by the time you reach the bottom it is well steeped?
Yep some flavorings need to age a while.
And if they shake and vape good then given a bit of time they may become much stronger and not desirable.
I suspect that coffee flavorings may tend to be this way.

If in doubt make 2 identical batches and do not vape 1 for a week or so.
Note any differences and maybe adjust the flavoring level downwards?

I am not a bottle shaking fanatic at all and often do not shake before using.
Never had an issue with the bottom of the bottle getting harsh.
I vape a bit under 3 mg/ml and I would notice if the nic got stronger at the bottom.

I would think if anything nic would rise not settle.
It does. But if the bottle is the type that you have to turn upside down before you can squeeze some of the liquid out, then you have to keep in mind that, by turning the bottle upside down, you don't actually turn the liquid itself upside down because, instead, you only cause the liquid to swirl around to a fairly limited extent so as a result not a lot of the nic that has risen to the top will end up close enough to the nozzle to be able to be squeezed out... excepting if you shake reasonably well before use.

I just don’t think the nic would sink but I could easily be mistaken. All I know is that I haven’t experienced this phenomenon.

Almost all liquid solutions will separate in time, just think of paint or salad dressing. I shake all my e-Liquids from DIY to Retail because it happens. Why do you shake the Nicotine solution when you get it? It is just Nicotine and VG or PG. Think about it......................

I shake the nic when I get it because I do not know if it was shaken when added to the base. After that I don't shake it.

If you think the manufacturer of your Nicotine makes bottles per order you need to do a little research into manufacturing or bottling techniques. The Nicotine you buy was mixed way before it ever made it to the container you get it in.

I know that very well. But none of us know if they get the hot spots out now do we?

They are selling a product that needs to conform to quality standards and the hot spots would happen because of separation from the time it was bottled until you got it. So when it is bottled it is well mixed and separates when it sits in the bottle. Which leads right back to the OP's question does it separate?

Sorry Steve I don’t enjoy arguing for the sake of argument.

I am not arguing I am showing you the information you posted is totally incorrect. You want to argue go find someone to argue with but the fact is you are WRONG.

Can't accept the fact you are wrong, so you say I am arguing? Really? Maybe you need to reread, and try and comprehend the OP's question and think about your response.

I feel the same. Sometimes I shake, but other times I don't. I haven't noticed nic getting stronger towards the bottom. I like to think I do a good job of blending my solutions initially. If there's any seperation I haven't noticed.

Hand mix to start the blending and then it sits on the magnetic stirrer until it looks right.

all of the liquids we get, in the mail, are VERY WELL shaken, when we get them. just think about the trip they have just been on.
