Sounds good! Something to try out my FA JOY stash. Sadly, I will have to buy the cap glazed doughnut. Good excuse to make a order....
Couldn't have been done without you ;).
Glazed doughnut was good but needed "something" happened to be a little joy!

I know what you're talking about, I got it standalone. Joy seems to balance it out. I'm enjoying this recipe

I didn't get that standalone but I know a few people did. Even with the touch of Marzipan I'm not tasting anything nutty. But I'm nutty tasting challenged it seems.

AP for sure. I can agree to that. But, AP adds more of a bready type flavor to me than nutty. But I'm seriously unable to get a true nutty taste from almost any flavoring I've tried. INW peanut was close, but all the FA nuts have been a flop in that department, for example Nut Mix tastes like the powder at the bottom of a can of mixed nuts without the salt to me. I have a few I just got in to try but haven't yet. And I hear FA has a reformulated peanut on the way, so it's not for the lack of trying, I've tried every nut flavor from FA except pistachio, and lots from various other companies.

Yeah tbh I don't like that nutty taste. But lots of people do for some reason. When people tell me to try ap in custard I'm like NO THANK YOU

This is good man. Taste like a Krispy Kreme to me right after mixing, though it has been a while since I've had one. I'm going to try adding some filling. Thanks.

Maybe add some tfa strawberry ripe might give it that jelly filled donut vibe
I will eventually. I've got too many strawberry things going on right now. Some cakes, custards, and just fruity stuff I'm working on. I tried some vienna cream at 1% but thats not working. its too close to the flavor already I think, and just kind of morphs it a little. Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm not sure a plain type of cream would really work. I'll try a little banana or something. It's good by itself. Its just nice to have some variations, as everyone here knows.

Grape may go well with it. Banana cream would probably be pretty good actually

Yeah, banana cream is good. I lowered the marz because my brain kept picking it out. also added meringue. I bet lemon might be good too. Next time I make it, I need to lower what I added a little to get more doughnut. I'll post results if you'd like. Don't want to jack the thread though.

I'm going to have to substitute the glazed doughnut part. It was out of stock again. It must be good to be out of stock at a few vendors. I do have diyflavorshack doughnut. I might use that. I'm assuming it is tfa or Loranns since the Watermelon they sell is tinted red. Lorann brand has added dyes. (Some flavors).
I've found I'm not a fan or loranns. I've only tried a handful but not getting great results. Plus the artificial coloring...

I'm still liking this recipe. Thanks again. And I have been adding tfa banana cream at 2%. As far as joy, I haven't really played with it, but I've found some great recipes that use it at .75%. So far just bakery stuff.

I've been without this recipe for almost a month (no glazed doughnut in stock at BCV) finally got some, oh, how I missed you doh face! Should have gotten some banana cream! Totally forgot about it.

Yeah, thanks again. I've got some in a tank right now too, with banana. Next time I make it, I'm going to try lemon or raspberry. I also added some Caps bav cream (2%) this time. It had been a while since I had this, so I couldn't tell you how much it changes things, but it's nice and creamy.

Yes, but glazed doughnut flavored Play Doh. But that does beg the question how is it you know what Play Doh tastes like?

Yes it is....I remember very well :) Caps Glazed Doughnut is Play-doh minus the salt. I get the same from Caps Chocolate Glazed Doughnut. I can also taste something good in each flavor, but the Play-doh ruins it for me. Some people don't get that at all and they love it *shrug*
