The way the original Dishonored let you chain and experiment with different abilities was one of many things that made it so great, and of course, Dishonored 2's protagonist, Emily Kaldwin, brings some exciting, all-new powers to the table as well. But she will share the spotlight with previous protagonist Corvo, who brings along a more familiar bag of tricks. Keeping them fresh is key to preventing him from feeling like last year's model, and to that end, developer Arkane Studios has broadened the upgrade system for each individual power significantly.
Corvo made his Dishonored 2 gameplay debut yesterday on the main stage during the QuakeCon 2016 keynote. Seeing him in action and talking to co-director Harvey Smith about this new upgrade philosophy really drove home how creative players will be able to get in Arkane's big sequel.
