Dripping on a mech?

This weekend I borrowed a regulated box to use with my mutation XV5. Last night I accidentally dropped some juice down the side without noticing and it got between the deck and the battery connection which gave me a no atomizer found warning.

I was wondering if I did this on my mech box would this actually cause a short or just a failure to fire?

I had a rda with a leaky 510 leak onto a battery a bit...just a few drops (hybrid mech)

I'd imagine if its enough to actually get inside the insulator it could cause issues but I'm not an expert

Luckily i was able to just wipe it clean with my finger as I caught it early...ran a rag through the tube for good measure and on I went with my day

A few drops shouldn't do it. I've over dripped and accidentally tipped over drippers to where it leaks down into the 510 on a daily basis with box's mechs and hybrids and haven't had any short from it. But like was said in the above post I keep paper towel or a rag with me

Okay thanks. That was my initial thought that it would be okay but the regulated mod throwing the no atty message made me question it

It could be dirty. I usually use either a qtip or paper towel with isopropyl alcohol on it and swab out the 510

Fwiw squonker "drip" via the 510 connection... if getting juice in the 510 was going to cause problems.. bottom feeders would not fire.

You mods issue wasn't the juice. The connection had to have something else going on. Juice leak just coinsodense.

The electronics of a regulated mod may not do well covered in juice.. but that's not what we are discussing.

HondaDavidson I determined it was the juice after doing it a second time. I think it was just due to both connections on the rda and the box being coated. Sure enough a qtip and a quick blow and it fires again
