DSV Ice Cream Base question.

Hi all,

Happy Easter!

I acquired the DSV Ice Cream Base flavoring from a Canadian vendor not long ago.
First mix was 9% Ice Cream Base along with 7% Bills Vanilla Milkshake Base posted on that other place. I was aiming for a good vanilla ice cream flavor.
Added a bit of chocolate for a choc chip effect and a dash of pistachio.
The resulting eLiquid was not bad at all.

My main question is weather anyone used this flavor?
If so, in what proportion?
Did I use to much? Is it supposed to be used at 3% for example?
I only found two recipes which contained this flavor so far.

My other concern is what ingredients are in it; hoping that it does not contain Diacetyl.
I can't seem to find any information about it sice it's not a FA, TPA, CAP, etc flavor.

Many thanks!
Have a great long weekend,

FlavourArt and TFA both have good information on their sites about what is (and isn't) in their flavors. I've never heard of DSV Flavors--they appear to be a rather pricey Canadian company? Because of the high prices I would guess they might be more concentrated flavors. If I were you I would try emailing them about the diacetyl/acetoin/acetyl propionyl content. (Although one never knows how forthcoming a company will be about these things). They would probably also have suggestions for you about starting percentages.

If you like how your juice came out, that's probably a really good sign. But you can also always mix up a small sample at, say, 3%, and see how it tastes. :)

Hi Lirruping,

Thanks for your reply.

I bought the flavoring from Canvape.
Here is the link:
http://www.canvape.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=DSVIC

Perhaps I should ask them about it.
The actual source, manufacturer, is still pretty vague as they only mention DSV.
Found a Dark Side Vapors (DSV) on the Net, perhaps they make it.

Your right, I should probably mix it up at 3% stand alone.
Blended it at 2% in a milkshake recipe I have and it accented it in a really good way.

L8er!
