ok, ive been playing with various build for the past few months and im having trouble finding that perfect vape. here's the thing, i love building dual coils. its all i do. however i am limited to 0.1 ohms on my device and im trying to find a build that will let me chase clouds with good flavor while vaping under 100 watts. i can go up to 150 but it kills my batteries in 3 hours. so what do you guys like? any suggestions on what to try? am i asking for the moon trying to get a dual coil with more resistance and still have a decent ramp up time?

I like to keep it simple. Therefore, I like to build dual 24g Kanthal 7/6 wraps 3 mm ID => 3.36 Ohm. However, I'm in the process to build all my coils with SS wire, in order to be able to use them either in TC, or power mode.

You could try using a smaller inner diameter. They'll heat up faster. If you're limited to just plain wire builds you should perhaps consider switching to nichrome, you can add surface area for the same resistance-giving you more vapor and improved flavor. Anything beyond that will take you to clapton land haha

ive done multiple claptons, fused claptons, twisted claptons, zippers, and of course the basic coils of varying guage and wraps. nichrome is great for some instances but for complex builds it seems to drop the resistance too much, unless used as the outer wraps of the clapton type builds.

For 100 watts have you tried fused 26g kanthal with 36-40g n80 6 wraps at about 2.4-2.5 mm id. Should ohm out between .19 and .21 and Chuck really well at almost 100w but it'll be a bit hot. I added another core to make 3x26 and a 38g wrap, 5 wraps 2.4 mm is .12 ohm and its a beast but not until 120w or so

That's actually what I've been using all night. It's the best one I've done so far. Love that build. I'm running dual 8 wrap 2.5mm ID 26/36k fused claptons to increase resistance and surface area. Comes out to 0.37 ohms and chucks at 75+watts. Fairly cool Vape until you go over 100.
