I'm not typically one to incite civil disorder.. but it WOULD be kinda funny on April fools day if a bunch of dual citizens went over there, and started reporting a bunch of completely inoffensive posts to give the mods somethin to do.. I don't think there is really anything in the TOS about being offended by inoffensive posts.. ;)
No, no, no. Far better would be to report EVERYONE who posts an "opinion-based recommendation" for anything related to hardware as an "Unregistered Supplier." ;)

I used vuse before I got my legit vape stuff.

Did the Vuse help you?

Vuse wasnt on the market when I first tried vaping but the Blue ones was and to me, they sucked big time. I would buy the strongest ones i could and still wanted a cig while puffing on one. It took a CE4 with an EGO kit to help me enough to get off the cigs.

Yeah, it helped me. They are sort of gross tasting, I was mostly a smokeless tobacco user that smoked before and still smoked sometimes. I used vuse solely for about 5 days is all, but those transition days are tough.

I got lucky when I quit smoking. A doctor told me if I wanted a badly needed surgery then I had no choice but to quit so motivation was on my side. I tried to quit a few times before because I knew smoking was actually killing me but sever anxiety would kick in every time I tried. With that CE4 and EGO I picked up in a gas station plus some really good tobacco flavored ejuice I was able to kick a 40 year 3 PAD habit in 4 days. That last day I smoked I lit one cig, smoked half of it and it tasted so nasty I couldn’t finish it. That has been over a year and a half ago and since then, smoke free. I still dip but no where near what I use to dip. Maybe a half a can to a can a week average. If I am outside working and sweating my ass off, a dip is always good but other than that I dont need it. I dont think I had a dip in three days right now and the can I have now I probably opened ten days ago. I use so little i have no plans on quitting that.

So Ok, How do we lure smokers who are Vape Curious, over here?! I mean, I think it's frikkin tremendous that disenchanted CURRENT vapers have a place to go! But, I think for the sake of vaping, getting smokers in here and getting them vaping, trumps cannibalizing other forums, fun as that may be... ;)
Good question. Unfortunately I just woke up and am somewhat brain dead so not a clue right now.

Has the cig alikes like Vuse and them actually helped anyone? I know I tried them a few times and wanted a cig while puffing one a Blue cig a like. They sucked and not satisfying at all.
But what you said is so very true. You have the media putting out bullshit stories about vaping by clueless reporters who want to sensatonalize the dangers instead of actually reporting on the stupidity of the individual and then all the sheep jump on the band wagon. I have a niece that is constantly posting to me on facebook all this stupid crap on vaping like mods blowing up on someone and batteries blowing up in a guys pocket and no matter how many times i explain to her that her old unc doesnt smoke because of vaping and will live a lot longer because of it, her mind is already made up that its far more dangerous than smoking was.
I am a firm believer in the Constitution and freedom of the press is very important in my opinion but there should be a clause on responsibility of the press to report accurately and fairly. In this day and age the press willingly reports any lie they want and are held to zero accountability. Just once i would like to see a major news media report that an idiot blew off half his face because he was practising unsafe vaping habit by super sub ohming with batteries that was never designed to take that kind of load despite plenty of available information that if he would of heeded would of prevented him from being such a stupid fuck.
I got off of cigs using 808 cigalikes. But quickly upgraded to the little bitty tanks on the 808 batteries and then to Ego style batts and Evods then T3S.

Yeah, I agree. Those transition days are tough.. I started with a volt. For the first few days, it was way too MUCH for me. Man, did I hack up a lung. Water vapor takes a lil getting used to. But by the end of week 2, It felt like I was trying to suck a bowling ball through a stir stick to get enough vapor.

So I don't know what I would have thought of a Crown on a Reuleaux as a starter. THAT might have been two weeks of "been there, tried that, cannot POSSIBLY be good for you" for some.

Just got a couple of PVTSO IMR 19650 3000 mah 35A batteries. I won these batteries, did not buy.
Not vaped with them yet but got lots hotter than my HG2's or even my 4.5 CDR recycled laptop ICR batteries when I charged them.
Prolly want to stay under 20 watts or so with them?

And yes I only use the ICR laptop recycles in a Zmax V3. so 15 watts max and they stay very cool doing that.

Being a grass roots thing I personally think the best way is still keeping it grass roots. With any smokers I know who ask about my vape, I offer to help in any way I can and send them links to sites like this to answer any questions I can't.

I took my daughter and her friend to a park the other day and an older lady saw me vaping and struck up a conversation. I gave her a soft sell and my cell number if she had questions or needed help sourcing gear to get her started. Her daughter called me later that night and I'm meeting up with them at a vape shop today to help them along and introduce them to the owner who's knowledgeable and a good guy.

Just my opinion:)

Yah Mr. Cromwell.. I dunno about those. Considering that you can find VTC4's, LG2's and other truly good batts for under $5 each, I wouldn't care if i won those, I wouldn't use em. One trip to the dentist or ER gonna set ya back way too much to gamble on $20 well spent.. Plus, you know, we care about you!

Yeah, the deal on VTC4's is still on. They're only 2000mAh, but if you ever do any really LOW builds, or use 18650's in mechs, these ARE the way to go, CDR of 30amp vs. LG HG2's 20a. I gotta boatload of those LG HG2's, but most vapers should have some of these, for when they're just not sure of the ceiling of the racier builds.. $4.50 a piece from 101vapes in the USA? man, can't beat it..

Quite true! I have a very sarcastic/smartass sense of humor and i've never been able to adequately apply it to the internet because of censorship over there and censorship on facebook (because my mom and all her church friends). Time to spread my wings

My mom wouldn't know what to do with facebook if it bit her in the ass. :D

yep LOL. I am an electronics tech and tested them under 5 amp loads. they stayed cool.
Actually been using in the Zmax V3 a max 15 watt device for 9 months or so. But about time to recycle them, their capacity has dropped.

I have been getting the HG2's at Illum Supply for $6 I think it is.
The HG2's work well in the RX 200 I am told.
I like the longer life of them and have not been over 30 watts so far.
Will prolly get some 25R's for a 150 watt disguiser mod I recently won.

Mooch is da battery man. I trust his results.

Someone should report "that ninja" every time he recommends the King v2 mech. I think he's recommended it 279 times.

Ohh yes the VTC4 is the best battery for low builds and mechs.

And ALWAYS check your build before putting it on a mech. Might have a coil touching the case or something....

You make a lot of very good points! Knowing what we know now, it's hard to remember how we thought when we first started. It was me, and I also see it in the vast majority of people who are thinking of switching though, that you want the same form factor as a cigarette, and the flavor of a nasty cigarette too at first. Totally misguided of course, and it makes my puppy slippers cry to think people would really prefer to say "Oh well, tried it, it sucks" rather than just start googling how to find a BETTER experience.. Unfortunately, cigarettes kill the lazy and unmotivated AFTER their child bearing years are behind them...

I guess it was good, then, that my reason for wanting to vape had nothing whatever to do with health -- I just wanted to be able to come inside instead of freezing my ass off on the porch (or sweating it off, in the summer, but it was winter at the time). So after I tried 3 diff crummy drugstore cigalikes (Fin, Njoy, and Blu), I just got MAD and went to google. It got me to ECF, which at least got me going as a vaper, and kept me company for 2 yrs, even if it is filled with tightass control-freak puritan nannys who ought to go diddle themselves and stop bothering normal people.

I am still vaping my Cap VCV1 mix.

I need to try a different flavor as I have been using cinnamon bun for a long time now. Only problem is I don't know what I would like... I have tried watermelon and didn't like it..... Strawberry is "fair".......... I don't like bubble gum either........... Any suggestions?

Yeah I started with an eRoll, and got all the way down to quitting, but got a vv3 and T3S on my first full day smoke-free. My complaint with the drugstore cigalikes was the taste -- with the eRoll, I could fill it myself, and found an ejuice I could live with, tasted a lot like Virginia Slims, but having to refill every 5 minutes and recharge every 15 just didn't get it.

I started with the ego t. Took me 2 months to quit. New vapors have much better choices now, but it's true they may pick something that's too much to start with, and be just as discouraged.

My only problem over there was when I clashed with tootle puffers telling me I suck because I chose to subohm, and disagreed with the Provari fanboys about the Provari being the greatest thing since girls...clashed hard enough to get several PM warnings from Retarded1..it was about then I came over here and now have made a lot of new friends with over 4,000 posts so far...don't clash with anybody here, except a select few who were banned from over there and still have thier narrow minded views...lololol

Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
I am dual user, 1+ ohm and sub ohm....... I only argue to myself sufficiently enough that I do not need to on the forums... ;)

Have you been to the DIY Recipes area here? There are some seriously KnockYourSocksOff vapes in there. Best DIY I've seen, and I've looked at several places. Sure, I'm partial, but seriously good vapes in there.
No I haven't as I actually haven't looked around this forum much as of yet.... I came straight to this thread as pointed to my another ECF member... Thanks for the info as I will take a look.......... Yeah I make my own juices but have never really experimented with too many flavors..... I will check it out.

My cat chews through most of my usb cables. To date she is 8 months and chewed through 20 usb cords. I have multiple cords with electrical tape 1-3 times on a single cord..... I am surprised she has not killed her self as they all had power running through them. If not atleast gave her a good shock to discourage her from chewing through them again.

April Fools day is over for me :( but I do enjoy some mischief every once and a while. We could report the mods for offending us for being mods...;)

I think you and @AndriaD should get Moses badges for leading the Exodus

Well the crap with Roxy had nothing to do with my exodus -- I left back in early Feb, just because of retarded1 being such an absolute shithead, and classless being a close runner-up, and even after my suspension was over, I had just had ENOUGH! of both of them, and Robin too. But if I'd still been there when they did that to Roxy, I'd have left too; that's just intolerable.

Ya, the hard sell never worked for us as smokers when we'd go into the doctor and s/he said, "this will kill you", right:rolleyes:

I've given away gear I no longer used to relative strangers because they were interested enough to give it a try. A friend of mine did the same for me when I first got interested by giving me a couple old ego batts and CE4 toppers so it's all a matter of paying forward and really, that is what I feel epitomizes the vaping community and what's made it grow so quickly.

My other worry with new vapers is helping them establish relationships with good vendors. We have a local vape shop in the next town from me and I'll never recommend them to anyone since they told me some crappy MXOJ batteries were rated at 30amp continuous when I've learned from people like mooch (at that other site:eek:) have educated me otherwise (Yay mooch!!!). The vape shop I go to and encourage others to use (locals anyway) is about 25 minutes drive from my place but the guy is straight up and educates in a manner that doesn't leave his customers feeling like noobs.

We have to understand that vaping has become a bit of a quagmire for new users and can be very confusing and very daunting particularly for long time smokers who find picking up a fag the easy way to get their fix.

Helping others side step all the current pitfalls of getting into vaping is the best way I know to increase our numbers.

Cheers:)
