IMG_0439.JPG My wife's dog, Bella, has many hobbies including barking at me, barking at every sound audible from our house and barking at the rustling of blades of grass while outside in our backyard.

My wife doesn't agree with my plan to change her name to Sweet and Sour Chicken Ball and drop her off in China Town.

Um... what vid... what did I miss?

The 2 videos above your review in the Boreas thread on ECF. If you watch to the first 20 seconds the guy swears like a sailor. We wanted to see how long it took for the mods to notice and remove them.

Yah, I saw that. That shit is uber offensive. There is NO consistency to moderation there, that's why I came here, where the moderators keep a tight lid on that fucking nonsense.

Is that where "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog." comes into play? :)

Yup, he likes to pick fights with the biggest dogs possible too. There is a rather large Doberman in our neighborhood, very nice dog. I was walking our dog one day, thought to myself "Oh it's a full size version of him, maybe he will be cool with this one" NOPE he got all David & Goliath batshit crazy and tried to tear it's head off. The Doberman responded to our little lunatic in a way that kind of scared me a little and I am not afraid of dog's in the slightest. Max don't give a fuck! I have to be a little impressed by him, he is utterly fearless.

Sounds a lot like my husband when he used to drink. He's 5'5", but when he was drunk, he apparently thought he was 6'6". :D

I'm 6'5. And have always been dumbfounded at guys like this starting a fight in bars with the biggest guy they can find.

My husband was always the smallest kid in the class -- barely came up to the light switch when he started high school. So he's always been the scrappy sort. :D Alcohol just made him INSANELY scrappy. He was just glad to find that yes, some taller women do appreciate smaller men. (back in the day... the stand-up fun was great! ;) But we're both a bit too old for it anymore. :( )

That's our littlest, Shrek too. He goes right after Sherlock who is like 4 to 6 times his size, brings him down by the throat. Of course atm Shrek is hiding out with Papa, think he's realizing "oh hell, my balls are gone". Poor guy is hiding here under my desk beside my feet.

No-name store-brand discount tequila can make Mother Theresa take the piss out of the Dali Lama. Otherwise normal people go all Dexter when they drink stuff that tastes like it belongs in a radiator. Of course, some people can overdo anything.

Not exactly sure what she is!! Her mother was a golden believe it or not. I just call her whatever jumped over the fence last!! I think she has some border collie in her as she enjoys herding my wife, myself and our two cats around the house!!

Based on her coat color and face and eyes I think she is indeed a good part Border Collie. Does she have "the stare".
Border Collies are great dogs for people who can handle them, they need to do stuff. :D

ROFL... I'd lease him out if I could, but nobody wants an white-bearded old fart except me. (except to do yard work, and yes I do lease him out for that!) Don't need to keep him leasHed -- he doesn't drink anymore, and he's shy with women. :D It was a bleeding miracle he and I ever got together, he was so shy -- I had no idea he was interested in me THAT way!

Thankfully, my wife works in the vet field, she is a liscensed vet tech and a certified vet practice manager and runs a vet practice!

Having said that and with all our fur kids, it really helps knowing a lot of folks in the industry from doctors to trainers!!

We've had a couple border collie mixes and you are right about "giving them a purpose!"

She is an incredibly smart girl, most of the time, way to smart for my wife and I!! The trick is to get them into puppy training early and be consistant. This one is just a few months past 2yo and thinks her shit doesn't stink! Have to bring her back to earth every once in a while with a "back to basics" training to show her who the boss is!!

My sister used to have a Border Collie. Ridiculously smart dogs, but unless you are a sheep herder or hyperactive, they are not an ideal pet to have. They get all sorts of squirrely when they have no job to do.

Pure bred, I have no doubt about that, mixes, mine finds just as much enjoyment laying on the sofa in the evening than she does chasing things!! My wife gets up earlier than I have to and this dog barely raises an ear! She's just happy being happy and in a loving home!!

Premature gray/white on Molly, choc lab, in my avatar. That snapshot was taken when she was 3. Since most of my hair went from brown to gray & white, figure she's trying to emulate me .... Ya know, pets start looking like their owners.
We can only estimate our Bumble at about 7. They figured he was 5 when we got gim. We have had Rotties and German Shepards our whole lives. He is the first to not be either. There was just something about him. Love him to death. Germans and Rotties hold a special place in my heart.

Excellent she is a lucky girl. :) Wife and I use to joke that our Border Collie knew what we were going to do before we did. We have a Kelpie now, easily as smart but much more personable. Both need consistent and calm guidance from time to time.
