Evening yall. Hope everyone had a hell of a day with lots of shenanigans and plenty of chances to GFY!
My day was fucked up seven ways from Sunday. I decided last night I was going to get up today, drive two hours to see the same doc I seen last week and get him to give me a return to work slip, then head in for tonight and tomorrow night. Then it will be time for my two weeks off. How wrong I could be.
The medical people called me as I was getting my junk gathered and packed and asked me how I was doing. Told them I was doing good and my plans to drive to that other medical place. The girl tells me I dont have to do that, she has me a place lined up in my home town....cool! So she emailed me a paper, I signed it, scanned it and sent it back to her then waited, and waited, and waited. All this started at 10 am. Called her at 11 and she was working on it. Called her again at 1 and she was still working on it. Called her again at 3:30 and she is just to the point of sending the local place my medical records..... I am suppose to be at work for 3:30 pm and thats a good 2 1/2 hour drive away yet....
She finally calls me at 4:30 and tells me I can go there tomorrow morning and be seen by a doctor. Fuck..... So I called my supervisor and vented to him a little. Told him thats why I didnt want to do the first report of injury and I should of just taken off on sick leave instead of jumping thru all these damn hoops. Now I gotta go see the doc in the morning, drive 2 1/2 hours to work, work 11 hours and drive home another 2 1/2 hours and this shit puts me in a very unsafe position.
I must say there is a silver lining to all this horse shit. My supervisor called me back and said he talked with the director of maintenance, the guy with all the domino's. He said to have me get my return to work slip dated for Thursday and that way I wont have to come in until the start of my next hitch two weeks from now.
Hope yalls day been better.
