Yea, tight inside the coil and trimmed, thin fluffy tails works so well!

Yup, I wicked it with the cotton bacon I ordered to try, just because I had never tried it before. I have to say for cotton it is pretty damn good. I will probably load up some Rayon in it soon and see how it is. I am used to rayon wicking from my velocity, Might just need to go a touch thicker on tails than I would in that.

The only real con for me so far on the Griffon is how thirsty it is. I know I had seen people comment on that fact in several threads, I just wasn't prepared for quite how fast it will drain a tank. LOL

I am running dual claptons - 26 ga core with 36 ga wrap. 3mm ID, I think it was about 8 wraps on each? about 0.6 ohm at 60 watts.
I haven't even looked at my Velocity since I got this thing wicked properly. Now I am even more excited fro the Tsunami to come. I saw in a video earlier they mentioned there was a problem with the original run of black ones that caused the coating to crack when it got really hot, which apparently is what it kept getting delayed. According to them 4/15 is the new release date. Now I have something to keep me busy and I will be pleasantly surprised when it shows up in my mailbox.

Never touched a Griffin. What makes them so thirsty? Does flood the coils with juice? What about using more wick than normal to slow down the wicking some.

Could be the claptons and the power. I'm sure if I put a simple build in and close down the juice ports a little, and the cut the power in half it would be better, but I am quite happy with the performance as it stands right now, not sure if I can go back. LOL

Could be the claptons and the power. If I run a simpler build at lower power it might help a bit. I'm sure if I put a simple build in and close down the juice ports a little, it might conserve, but I am quite happy with the performance as it stands right now, not sure if I can go back. LOL
Um, no. Unfortunately.
I haven't seen any difference in juice consumption between claptons & simple builds, wattage or TC. Currently have simple SS coils running TC. YMMV.

Which reminds me, gotta order some more flavors & nic to keep this bugger fed.

Alrighty then. So I will just deal with it or get more juice, cause this thing is fucking phenomenal.

Don't take my usually half assed, drunken, or half asleep word on these forums as gospel ..... Play with it, maybe u can find a good way to feed it less while keeping performance up! Like 2 find out myself. :)

I'd really like to hear how the boreus compares to griff in juice consumption b4 I order it. Everything I've read says boreus puts the griff to shame performance wise. That's actually hard to imagine.

Yup, I keep seeing people report the same, I imagine it would be the same or more? Although the Boreas gives you like twice the capacity to play with.

Builds can definitely make a difference. I have a simple 2 strand twisted 28g build in one MT. Only running 35W. I have huge 7 wrap Claptons in another running 100W. Guess which sucks up juice?

I switch between my mutank and boreas through out the day. Used to be the mutank and goliath v2. Ive gone from filling the mu 3 or 4 times a day to once a day. My boreas I'm filling 3 to 4 times a day running 2x26/36 all n80 fused claps in it. Boreas has definitely become my go to lol.

Personally I never thought any tank would top an RDA for me. The Griffin has certainly proved me wrong. I have the same build in my Velocity and the Griffin destroys it on flavor. Probably because of the bottom airflow and I lowered my coils so they are just a hair above the air holes on the deck. It makes me think with the Tsunami, I will be equally happy with flavor on it.

All around the Boreas is better & it probably goes thru more juice you just can't tell cuz the fucking tank is so big! I was gonna get the 25 Griff but Roxy has ruined it for me! After Boreas I'm afraid anything else would be just a place holder in my vape drawer like my MT, Griff, TFV4, STM, & Mutation XV4!

Everything OK, Huck?!? Your cute lil curious, peeking avatar is gone, and this one looks like she's feeling a lil trepidation... ?!
I had no idea what you were talking about, then remembered, while half asleep, I changed her. I can switch her back if you like.
So who all has some ink?
I have 5 myself.
There's a couple.

With basically the same build the Griffin feels about like a Nautilus next to a Boreas.

Boreas is the best tank I have ever used by far.

One of my tats. Over 20 years old and still looks good. People worry to much about good ink fading away. Friends don't let friends get cheap ink!!

Also since I don't have to talk like an 8 year old here we don't have to pretend it mean For The Win here now do we??

OK, whoever is keeping count... Had a NoPity on order from some greazeball company in Amsterdam called HardCoreVapers. Ordered it a couple weeks ago, STILL not shipped. Told em to vape it where the sun don't shine. THAT money is probably better spent on the Boreas and Tsunami I just ordered. LOTS of change left over, too. So add me in the Boreas column!

My Griffin is a juice hog with straight 26g NC80 8-10 wraps at 30-40 watts.

Wrapped some old Omega wire I found in a drawer yesterday and can't tell the difference. Have to make the time to do some claptons next week and try that.

It does give great flavour and nice clouds though:)
