I have a cedar Takamine and love it!

My fave right now though is a PRS Semi Hollow body with piezos. Beautiful guitar and playability is incredible. Have a few Partscasters too. All original Fender parts but a strat with Shure pickups and a tele with Lindsey Fralins.
I love PRS. Very beautiful guitars and very nice, smooth action! A couple of the PRS's I have played were pretty close to my Jackson Soloist as far as the action goes. If I was in the market for another electric, its a toss up between a true Les Paul or a PRS.

LP's are nice and I've had about 6-7 over my lifetime as a hack but PRS are special.

I always associated LP neck profiles with baseball bats. A few months ago I traded a Bogner Ecstasy for a PRS Hollow Body with a wide fat neck and bloody love it.

I will never get rid of this guitar!

Cool, you kids are musicians. I like music. I have a glockenspiel. Yeah, yeah, laugh it up. But I'm working on a Rush medley. I put together highlights of two songs, Closer to the Heart and Tom Sawyer, and I was searching for the longest time for third to tie it all together, and finally stumbled on Distant Early Warning. But very softly and with emotion, trying to play the glock like a piano, as an inrto piece. Then Closer to the Heart comes in with a rather drastic key change and I finish with Tom, trying to fake my way through as much of Neil's percussion as I can along with the melody. I mean, fuck, I bought this thing from Amazon for a little over a hundred bucks and I'm having a blast with it. Also figured out a good little rendition of Close to the Edge, I really butcher and take liberty with the opening guitar solo but I think capture the major melody. Anyway, it's fun messing around with. Maybe some day I put myself out there for all the trolls and post a YouTube video. Kudos to all musicians who perform live. That is one tough job.

Correct. I know people were having issues with PRS intonation. I think even more if you used strings bigger than a 9 or a 10. I think some have just swapped bridges.

I love Rush! I have been working on a drum cover for Tom Sawyer. Already did one for Spirit of Radio. Their is a pretty good Rush cover band where I am from with a female singer.

Damn the Imojis don't work!
Imojis or Nomojis your point is valid!

WRT ECF, I posted there a bit but it never did feel like home. I have been using VU as a resource for quite a while now and decided to get more involved for no other reason than I was exited about some FA Bilberry I just got!

I do know I'd sought out roxynoodles opinions on hardware before I purchased because she was and always will be a valuable resource where hardware is concerned:)

My mother use to tease me asking what I want to be when I grow up.

I told her I wanted to play electric glockenspiel in a Celtic band that covered only Lawrence Welk tunes or be a clown.

I can ride a little bike like a son of a you know what!

Enough with the thread drift;)

Ha, this thread has drifted and then drifted some more. Which is kinda nice. I would rather this thread be a place where ex ecfers can shoot the shit about anything instead of talking about ECF but if ECF is brought up, then that's fine.

This made me hungry, and I will most certainly be trying this out. Thank you.
Here's a couple more;

Add asiago to breading when making breaded chicken or cutlets.

Bake a potato then cut open, shred asiago over potato then put back in oven/bbq until cheese has turned golden brown.

Tilt head back and shred asiago directly into mouth until full. Chew then swallow and chase with a Triscut.

Enough of the thread drift:cool:

Nice to find another huge Rush fan. Distant Early Warning is good stuff, but I'm very partial to the Signals album. "Chemistry" is absolutely brilliant!

Who knows how many albums Rush put out? I have 24 from Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush coming down right now. Because you people brought this up I noticed it is missing from my Digital Collection. The Vinyl is in storage.

Rush is just on a whole other level!

Totally agree. I even converted my ex to them; he's always claimed not to like "heavy metal," and no matter what I said, he believed Rush was "heavy metal." So I finally said, fine, they're THINKING MAN'S HEAVY METAL, just listen to their words! He did... and became a fan. :)

Never really got in to Rush
I was into Metal for a long time, now mostly the Dead, Allman Brothers Band, a lot of jam bands, and blues.

The blues is my favorite music of all time... but I like a lot of different stuff.

There isn't a song on the radio that can't trace its roots back to the blues.

John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, Lead Belly, Clapton, SRV...the list is endless.
That is why I started playing blues on guitar. Just because I mainly listen to death metal and 90's grunge and Rush, I never limited my playing to that. I got good on guitar when I started playing a lot of blues and classical stuff. It helped my death metal shredding lol. I really love to play that Mississippi delta type slide guitar.
