After you said it's 50 state legal, I looked it up to see if it actually was legal in NC and it is. It seems that Gov. Cooper signed a bill to make it legal here so it's available for people with epilepsy which my son has. Cool beans!
We must be talking about different things? As far as I know hemp-derived cbd stuff is fully legal, as in, no doctors involved at all. I know here (Kentucky) it's in all the vape shops as well as health food stores.

Good morning fugees. Starting off the day with a lap full of kitty and a house full of Noah since there's no school today. Despite the snow, life is GOOD! :) :p
On the other hand, I woke up this morning with a stuffed up head and a scratchy kind of sore throat. Me thinks I've become a victim of spring allergies even though I normally have fall allergies. We'll see how this develops. I hope everyone has a wonderful day! I'm heading off to work later.

I think I caught the cold my son had last week -- he's got tonsils so he knew about it right away, sore throat and all that shit; went to the doc, to be told "HEAD COLD". I have no tonsils, and now don't smoke, so the only way I know I have a cold at all is that horrible smell in my nose; I guess coming from deeper in the sinuses. It was OMG awful during the flu, and I was glad when it finally left, but yesterday realized the smell was back -- that cold of my son's is the only possible explanation, because I don't feel sick at all.

The smell is a lot different from when I smoked; now, it smells like something burnt! Almost like burnt cotton or wool. So weird! So I've been sniffing the lavender essential oil again, that he got for me when I had the flu. I put a couple drops on a tissue and rub it just under and between my nostrils, to give me something nicer to smell.

No. Same thing. I went back and reread the article. It was in 2014 so it's been legal a while in this state. Sorry! I'm a bit fuzzy headed this morning. Nearest shop to me though is 45-50 miles away so any I get will be ordered online.

Pretty sure it's 50 state legal? Pretty much everywhere I've been lately sells it in vape form as well as tincture.

Think you're correct as it's under the jurisdiction of those Wiley Federals. Not sure you even need a script for it here. Even if I needed one I could cite the PTSD/anxiety I have and be issued such a script easily enough. Hear it helps with both of those. May even help some with agoraphobia, cabin fever ... yes I know that seems contradictory and self canceling. Kind of like when I told the mind witch I felt like a complete failure but felt absolutely all fuzzy bunnies and happy about it in unison. The mind witch replied, "oh that's perfectly normal". Guess I'm some kind of Catch 22 or something. *shrugs* More like I'm simply fubar in the noggin but no one wants to tell me because they figure I'm paranoid enough to kill all my alternate selves. ... Hm, leaves me pondering, ... *grins*

Which leaves me seriously seeking to resolve the question, if it's not paranoia when they are actually out to get you, what is it then? Does that mean I'm actually going around the bend enough to return back to being sane? Damn I hope not.

I rarely get that cabin fever thing, though I might have brushed up against it a bit when I had the flu and was mostly confined to the couch by the sheer inability to breathe if I walked further than the bathroom. I'm not sure if what I have qualifies as agoraphobia anymore; back when I was struggling with the PTSD, it surely qualfied; just getting in the car and going to the store could bring on a panic attack. A lot of my anxiety about riding in a car was alleviated by getting a pickup truck, which sits up higher than a car, so I don't feel like I'm about to be squashed like a bug by every Dodge truck/SUV or semi-truck out there; we're on our 3rd truck now, and each one has been a little higher-up last the last, so I feel like Queen of the World now. :D

One of my weirder manifestations of agoraphobia is my unease/distaste/disinclination/avoidance for talking to strangers on the phone, which is usually required to take care of any kind of "business" -- partly it's the difficulty in understanding Hispanics/Pakistanis/Indians/Malaysians/whatever-the-hell-3rd-world-country speaking English, and if you ask for someone who speaks English, they either get mad and assure you that they ARE speaking English, or they hang up on you and you have to go thru their neverending phone tree all over again, and all that is exacerbated by trying to understand someone speaking when you can't see them and maybe have a poor connection, and a lot of it was back when I had to wrangle with bill collectors on a regular basis -- I don't anymore, as our current bills are all up-to-date and I completely ignore the collectors for my delinquent student loan since they're scam artists anyway -- when I do have the money to pay on that, I'll deal with ECMC directly or I'll continue not-paying it. My smartphone helps a lot with that, since I have it set to only accept calls from those in my contacts list. :) Terrific goon repellant!

Mainly I just don't care to deal with 99.99% of those who inhabit this planet, so I stay at home unless going out is really necessary -- the bank on payday, the various groceries and big-box stores around here, etc. It might be agoraphobia of a sort, or maybe just plain misanthropy. :D

Ok, according to the urban dictionary, it's definitely misanthropy, because this suits me to a fucking TEE:

"The natural allergic reaction had by an intelligent, thinking person when confronted by a world of tribalized, reactionary proto-humans. A condition characterized by a need for solitude, and skepticism about the nobility of one's fellows."

Sorry guys I've been out for a few days. My son and daughter-in-law came here and it's been go go go. They told me that they're going to be moving here soon. I cannot tell you how happy I am about that! It's going to be a total trip having some family around again.

Then today after they left I took off to fly the Drone LOL.
Missed you guys!
Geez I've got to work tomorrow morning so I guess I better crash early. And hopefully not the Drone again. I had to crawl through a thicket of cat's claw to get to it the last time.

Beautiful yes but I sure am glad that the electric company did a heavy duty tree trimming job a couple of years ago or I would not have had power.
Thousands lost power from tree branches on power lines and such.

That's one of the better parts about moving back to Gwinnett county after 13 yrs living 25 miles further into rural environs -- around here, right in town, GA Power and Jackson EMC keep all the trees well-maintained, so we rarely ever have outages, and even if we do, they're generally fairly short. I love having an EMC too; we've been in that EMC for more than 25 yrs now, so every year, they send us a nice xmas gift: a profit-sharing check, and they're getting up into the $20 range, after this long in the same EMC. :) It's not a lot, but that shows that they have the rates set rationally, and how many other electric companies pay you to be a member? Not many!!! :)

I lose power a lot here due to thunderstorms. We get some bad storms here. I have a generator though that powers a window AC, my television, router, fridge, Etc. I got tired of having to go to a motel. So I splurged and got me a propane generator. Actually it's dual fuel but I don't use the gas.

I got vapable CBD oil in Anchorage - am kinda impressed - I even slept well at the hotel, which is rare

I tried the under the tongue stuff and felt it didn't do squat
I've never heard of that before. Just looked it up and seems it works for chronic pain? Hmmmmm. I may give it a try.

Coding gives me a headache sometimes. I'm at work today trying to earn some comp time so my brain will soon be in pain.
My son and dil were over and they brought games with them for us all to play. They wanted me to play Scrabble with them. I have NO yearning to have to "think" when I'm off work. My brain is literally exhausted from coding all week. I like playing Trouble. Hardly any thinking there. hehehe

Truly messed up is being a human loving misanthrope. :p Had a psychologist comment upon my bisexuality, ... "Oh, you just love people then." Imagine the radiantly beaming smile on their face, as though they wanted you being so proud, that their feeble childish mind could figure out something so basic.

Think perhaps my desire in avoiding throngs of folks lies in watching at various times the same response used by military and police forces the world over. It is a strategy called 'kettle-ing(sic)' by the British. This is similar to the pincer tactic, or the encircling one where large groups are forced to smaller and smaller surface areas. We all know what happens if steam is held under pressure. :-|

That frightens me in a way. It goes back to simple claustrophobia, not wanting trapped.

(Big gob of text deleted, see below.)

Bah, I best digress. How about those Dodgers this year? I mean to tell you, my wife fixes up some good steam in bag vegetables. Had some last night which rocked my socks. Saw a doctor yesterday that got angry at me, no more so angrier than I am with me. Got told as I expected, "no soda, no carbs, no sweets and lose lots of weight, 100 to 150 pounds."

Figured as much too. Oh well, time for me to go back to boot camp. *sighs and smh*

Mornin fugee's and you know what to do :D

Cant believe this weather. Was 32 when I took Rascal out for his morning constitutional and they are saying its going to be in the low 70's this afternoon. Unreal. At least I dont live in the north east where they are having a blizzard. No thanks to that!

Morely, you sure its not something as simple as your personality that keep you from crowds? I know myself that I avoid all crowds period because I cant stand them. Nothing to do with anything other than that is part of my personality make up. I do not like crowds, period. Not even small ones. More than 5 or so peeps that I dont know and I am ready to get out of there and at times that many are pushing it :) Just my personality bro and probably the same with you. I been to festivals that had more than 250K peeps and when I was younger it wasnt so bad, I could hang for a while but now screw that, I want no part of it no matter whats its for. Your probably the same way. The older you get the less you can tolerate large crowds. Its not a flaw bro, simply it is what it is.

In 1998 when I quit smoking I gained 85lbs very quickly and held on to it for years. I got tired of toting around 185lbs so I started doing weight watchers. I cut out sodas(now I can't stand them), switched to flavored waters, but didn't give up anything else. What WW taught me was when you feel full stop eating. It was that simple. Another thing it taught me was to eat less and move more. I ate the same things that I cooked for my family just less of it and I started walking. By doing this, I lost 75lbs in a little over 6 months and never felt deprived. And I've kept the weight off for over 10 years. Of course now I wish I had 20 of those pounds back since I can't seem to gain weight now.

My son's sweet dog had to be put to sleep last night. Ned. I'm so sad. I'm also sad I had to find out through Facebook. Just re-iterates how high I'm on their list. Would have been nice to have had a call, or text, instead of the "shock" factor.:(

What stalker?
I have an aggravating as hell neighbor, not next door or anything.
But he lost his job last year and is bored and wants to be my bestest friend and hang out with me.
He is one of those who enjoys aggravating people.
And last time he drove his farm tractor thru my yard...

I really do not want to but I think a major cussing is coming from me.
Even though he is related to the wife and her church buddies.

He will cruise by my house several times a day hoping to catch me outside and then stop in and tell me everything I need to do around my place.
You need to just tear down that building and put up another one, that retaining wall is leaning, etc...

Oh geez. Just tell him next time, you don't have a problem with HIM fixing it for you. Otherwise, if he isn't going to do anything about it than you really aren't interested.....

Yep and him with no insurance and getting hurt because he is grossly overweight and kinda clumsy.
And could keel over dead from heart issues at any time...
On my property....
his 6 yr younger brother (also grossly overweight) died of heart problems 6 months ago.

and I do not need a supervisor.

When life hands you lemons, make lemonaide. :teehee:

Tell this pest that the neighbor you dont like was going to ask him to help them with something but ya just cant remember what and leave it go at that for a day or so, then start asking him what they wanted him to help them with. Next thing ya know, the neighbor you dont like has a new best buddy and you have satisfaction knowing that yeah, you screwed them :giggle::giggle::giggle::giggle::giggle:

The only real "secret" to weight loss is "eat less, move more". I got up to 165 lbs once, and fucking HATED dragging around that much me, and my feet, knees, and hips hated it too and let me know with every step! Since then, I lost most of the excess with one of our moves in the middle of the damn summer, and have managed to keep it under 150 -- which is still a bit too much me, but at least rectifying THAT size problem isn't so damn hard. The hardest thing is that it keeps getting harder to lose weight as I get older -- in my teens, 20s, and 30s, if the word "diet" passed my lips, I lost 10 lbs and had to eat like a maniac to gain it back. Pretty sure the 10-ish lbs I lost with the flu is already back.

But pushing back from the table when there's still food on your plate... that was hard for me to learn, given all the "clean your plate" conditioning from childhood... but I've gotten pretty good at recognizing when enough is enough.
