i have tried every device i have and its the same thing. the coil will sizzle for about 3 seconds after i let go of fire button. i havn't used an rta in a while , so i dont no if this is normal or a defective atty. i'm pretty sure the after burns are because the device , but i'm not sure.

Coils are not any different than the heating coils on an electric stove.
There is still heat in the coil after you shut off the power to it.

Depending on the size of the coil, diameter of the wire, and other factors, that will make a difference how low heat continues to dissipate after shutting off the power to the coil.

freemind, i understand what your saying, but i can wrap same coil on a tobh and no sizzle, at least not like the lemo

Ok.....

All I am saying is, in order for the coil to get power, and "sizzle", it has to get it from your power source. You have tried different mods, and all do the same thing. Unless all your mods are defective somehow, it is just the coil disappaiting heat. Nothing else it could be, and I do not believe your atty is defective.

That's all I got.

Freemind has it correct, ciro.

At no point do you mention the build or specific power supply... which would provide information on heat flux / heat capacity and wattage / current applied.

Logically... If the coil temp rises well above that required to vaporize a particular juice blend, then the button is released... there will be a dwell time until the coil temperature drops - cooled by new liquid fed to the wick / coil area and by inlet air flow - below that required temperature... in your observed yet subjective case, about 3 seconds.

E-liquid, depending on it's blend of PG, VG and other products... including distilled water, will start to vaporize at temps below 200° F, and a wet coil can reach as high as 500° F. Temperatures for a coil near dry can exceed 700° F.

if you listen closely to some reviewers vaping tanks at high wattage their coils also sizzle after the puff. cant remember who specifically i saw it happening to but you see it all over. thicker wire will retain heat longer and higher wattage will heat it faster, i use 28g and never have this happen to me

Sometimes it just depends on that particular coil. Mostly mine don't. Occasionally I'll wrap one that does. Same wire, same technique, wraps and ohms. There has to be a difference between the few that do and the rest but damned if I can see it. Can't recall one taking 3 seconds though.

In addition to what is was above may I ask your wicking material? The reason being I know that if I use ekowool/ready x wick in my kayfuns and my coil is gunked up and needs to be dry burned that for several seconds after I let go of the fire button as the coil is cooling the build up on the coil will continue to burn/crackle a few seconds longer than just liquid would as the coil cools down...just might be a gunked up wick maybe?

Well if you use cotton you're not getting the gunk up sizzle I'm thinking of....is probably just a hot coil cooling down in a small chamber....you don't have the same room and airflow in a lemo like a dripper. My .5 flatwound single coil builds even in my magma keep producing vaper for three or four seconds after i let go of the trigger because of how long it takes the coil to ramp up and cool down. As long as it's not shorting and the flavor is good you should be alright....but i understand how annoying it is

Check out rip trippers standard coil build video for the lemo, he recommends that for high vg liquids.
