Empty Atomizer Vaping

Just yesterday, I purchased a Cool Fire IV off of my friend, with an Aspire Mini Nautilus atomizer attached to it. I used it for a few hours, until I noticed the wattage was very high and each hit was getting very hot. I later emptied the juice out of the atomizer.. After that, I pressed the fire button and a ton of vapor with a burnt smell began to come out of the atomizer, despite the fact that it was empty. Any suggestions? I ordered a completely new atomizer.. This is also my first vape, and I am not too shabby on the subject.

Sounds to me like you just scorched your coil .... What wattage was it set at?

I can't remember the exact wattage, I know it was way too high though..
I ordered a completely new atomizer, so should that do the trick?
Yeah that's kinda high for a nautilus mini lol. What did you order?

The setting depends mainly on your juice. However, you adjust to your preferred value. Start at a lower wattage, and increment step by step, until you find the sweet spot, for best flavor and vapor.
Was gonna say the same lol

New coil heads should work out ok, but never a bad thing to have more than one tank. Don't toss the nautilus, just replace the coil.

Sound advice Huck. I would also say to take the tank apart and wash it out good to get the burnt taste out the rest of the way. Nautilus mini is a great tank. I have my mom's full size Nautilus set at like 7 or 8 watts if I remember correctly.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.
